Here is an insight into "Áfram með sjörið". In the old days, butter was made in butter cylinders, and someone had to work the piston. This was a hard job, most likely done by a child. I´m old enough to have done this myself. So this simply means, get on with it.

I wouldn't mind more of such insights. I really enjoyed it! We have a similar one in German for the "Which model are you?". We say "Which 'manufacturing year (Baujahr) are you?". Normally, the word 'Baujahr' is used for cars.😊

You didn't really explain what "Ég kem af fjöllum" means. It means that you don´t know what is being discussed. It is as if you have been isolated in the mountains for a long time.
