How do you pull the forms with all that rock around them?
@dspears6662 жыл бұрын
They must leave them in. Even if the rock wasn’t there, the pipe would make form removal tricky too.
@dspears6662 жыл бұрын
Wait, maybe the rock is to hold the forms. Which would mean a lot of shovelling after to get the forms out.

did you put pins in the corners where your strings intersected before you pulled the forms

Ron, I meant how do you fasten those vertical metal unistrut angle braces to the floor when you have the poured floor?
@bondobuilt3863 жыл бұрын
We just use 2-1/2” Tap Con fasteners. There the blue cement anchors. You have to pilot drill them thern they screw right to concrete. fill holes with a dab of grout after we tear down.

so you just lay down 3-4 inches of concrete in the footers and then lay rebar untied on top with just contact splices and then fill the rest of the footer with concrete? Quite a time saver. Just as strong?
@bondobuilt3864 жыл бұрын
Yes a great time saver. Just as strong if its placed in the correct spot. Sometimes we hang it. depends on the job schedule and when we can get concrete.

Bondo, loving your channel question, you use Nudura ICFs why don't you use their Form-a Drain system for your footers and drains? They seem to be very efficient. Also have you used the Helix Micro Rebar in your poured walls and slabs to replace traditional rebar before? I am very interested in these products and your thoughts.

Thanks for watching the videos 👍😊. Im going to give that form a drain a try this spring. I have been interested in it for some time. we do double drains so this would be a great time saver and the cost has came down. I have not tried the micro rebar either. thats a neat idea as well but I do like my horizontal and vertical rebar in the walls maybe I’ll try it in a floor next spring and do a video.

Why no filter fabric on top of the pipe before covering with rock? Fast way to move a lot of rock around. Cool.
@bondobuilt3864 жыл бұрын
Hi We lay the fabric paper over the rock on the outside before we backfill with gravel.
