Fantastic stuff. I always love to see your adapted HS animations. The Dave and Rose banter was PEAK, had me dying laughing. And I love how you portray John with his dialogue. I'm so used to him being portrayed as a complete dumbass that everyone else looks down on so seeing him play the role of competent main character for once was really refreshing. I noticed the Bec Noir model still has the tentacles from pre-Bec prototyping. IIRC in the comic he loses that feature once getting Bec's powers, but could still summon them when he needed to use them. Any particular reason you decided to keep them on? I think he looks more badass without them squirming around passively tbh. But if you think the tentacles are cooler, I respect that! Just wondering if that's a deliberate choice, as you made a lot of other neat changes. My only criticism is that the audio and sfx could use some work. The voice actors are all great for the roles, it just needs some proper mixing and balancing to really make it feel like the sound is happening in the space instead of just coming from the screen, which can be a little jarring especially from the louder characters. Keep up the amazing content!

Hello! Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed writing in this one! Human side seemed to have effect that i've wanted to accomplish! To answer your question in regards to tentacles. Aside from looking cool in my opinion, another reason for that is to keep Noir's visuals affected by each of human's sprites. In original, after green sun upgrade he had lost everything that could be assosiated with Rose, while other prototypings (John - Arm and Eye, Dave - Wings, Jade - Dog Snout) are clear and visible. So tentacles are there partially to keep her as part of that thematic of influence. Also in regards to sounds... They are unfinished. I couldn't finish them before the deadline of 413, and decided to publish as is, fair and square, my fault. I apologize for that.

I love this, it reminds me of RWBY, like I’ll admit some bits of it are imperfect BUT you get caught up in the spectacle of everything that is happening so much that it’s able to suspend your disbelief. I absolutely adore this animation and how it uses homestuck and its characters.

WOW. All the animation in here is gorgeous, there is constantly something to look at! I especially love the borders you make during fight scenes, it really makes it feel like every punch and kick counts. I also really liked the colored overlays when Karkat and Gamzee fight, the visual effect of seeing one character dip into another side of the screen is just really fun to look at! WOW!

Homestuck was originally made with animations/interactive parts in flash, and a bunch of them were broken when they tried to update them to work with modern browsers. downloading the unofficial collection is the best way to read it. oh also there are people who've done read-throughs of the comic on youtube (Voice Over Nexus has a pretty good one from what I remember, but I never watched the whole thing and I don't know if they've finished yet.)

from godtier (haha get it) ultrakill content to homestuck... I should probably stop getting surprised by all the talented folk churning out homestuck jumpscares like that. Amazing, simply amazing. another thing I forgot to add was another dose of flattery. My experience with 3D animation has been painful and miserable and you managing to choreograph and actually produce short films based on your favorite fandoms is commendable. Other comments have pointed out that character movements in idle scenes are somewhat unnatural, however I absolutely ADORE the way Aradia is animated. Also Gamzee having pure anime-esque sass in every fight scene is something I never knew would suit him but it did. Late and heartfelt thanks for reading through this mountain of text in case you did, though a certain terrible webcomic probably made suffering through schizophrenic rambling an enjoyable experience.

Сорри что пишу только сейчас, но, хотел бы отметить некоторые вещи и внести немного критики и да на русском удобнее -Окей, во-первых, мне не нравится то, как в битве с Гамзи снижена контрастность - свет от огня подсвечивает черный фон, и от этого вся битва в целом хуже читается Но в целом светотень плоским цветом и подсветка имитирующая контур на персонажах выглядят клево, кажется в предыдущих видео такого не было -Круто как противостояние Арадии и Бека влияет на события на метеоре, до этого мне всегда казалось странным, как такие мощные взрывы вообще не долетают до троллей Кстати забыл в одном из прошлых видео спросить - а почему Канайя дерется без бензопилы? С этим возникли технические трудности, или это чисто стилистическое решение? -Удар Гамзи пирогом в лицо это чистый катарсис То как эта сцена разрешилась в оригинале, где безумного маньяка побеждают силой дружбы, навсегда останется для меня самым тупым моментом хоумстака, и использование слизневого пирога - это самое логичное и осмысленное, что можно было с ней сделать Кстати только сейчас заметил, что в твоих анимациях до сих пор не было ни одного взаимодействия кидов и троллей Хотя по идее это должна быть чуть ли не главная часть сюжета, без этого пересказ событий выглядит неполным надеюсь в следующих анимациях будет -Бой с мини-боссами это НЕРЕАЛЬНО КРУТО - и дизайны, и хореография, и то, как они взаимодействуют с окружениям, максимально кайфовый бой Но, зачем им столько диалога? Все эти боссы - это же просто, типо, препятствие, которое игра бросает в игрока, чтобы убедиться, что он достаточно силен чтобы запустить царапину, у них не должно быть ничего, чем они могли бы вербально зацепить Джона особенно касается обмена репликами в стиле марвел уже внутри самого боя - они звучат так, будто обе стороны реально пытаются переубедить друг друга, но в этом же изначально нет никакого смысла - им нечего друг другу сказать по существу кроме "just give up" -Как мне кажется, в этом видео слишком много клиффхенгеров - можно было не обрезать сцены по середине, а показать их целиком по порядку, от этого бы повествование ничего не потеряло -У меня есть проблемы с тем как ты изменил сюжетную ветку Роуз и Дейва В оригинале конфликт был в том, что они оба хотели взять самопожертвование на себя Дейв думал, что полетит он, но Роуз его вырубила и полетела сама, и после этого Дейв хотел к ней присоединиться, потому что чувствовал, что это неправильно оставлять ее лететь умирать одну, а она хотела, чтобы он ее бросил и полетел помогать остальным Но в этой версии Дейв присоединяется к Роуз, потому что не верит, что оставаться в сессии безопаснее? Какой это имеет смысл? Бек Нуар к этому моменту творит дичь в их сессии уже где-то около суток, а до Царапины остается ~меньше часа - раз они смогли продержаться до этого момента, то почему в последний час Бек должен стать чем-то непреодолимым? Даже если и так, по-моему это как-то неуместно заменять мотив заботы о сестре на чисто рациональные размышления о том что "нет разницы куда идти, поэтому выбираю ту смерть что покруче" Это уже никак не проявляет его личностных качеств которые изначально у него были Ну, окей, тут подразумевалось, что он все таки заботится о сестре, но не проговаривает это вслух, потому что он стоик и вообще никогда ничего не проговаривает вслух, но даже так, в оригинале он все таки сказал прямым текстом: "TG: but i dont want you to die TT: Help John and Jade. TG: this isnt right" Момент был гораздо серьезнее и чувствовался вес, который ситуация имеет для персонажей плюс, Роуз поменяла свое решение, просто потому что услышала слово "сестра"? Это все, что потребовалось? Короче, в оригинале по моему мнению в конфликте было гораздо больше смысла, и гораздо больше остроты, и мне кажется, что можно было лучше передать это Но огромный респект за то, что ты вспомнил про шахматных чуваков и не дал им взорваться в сверхновой -Куча замков?🤨 Наверное это имеет смысл, раз там летает куча цепей -Арадия как всегда лучшая девочка, каждый раз когда вижу ее улыбку на сердечке становится теплее... В конце у меня вопрос - слово "Pilot" в названии реально то и означает? ТИПО ЧЕ БУДЕШЬ ПОЛНОЦЕННЫЙ СЕРИАЛ ДЕЛАТЬ ИЛИ ТИПО ТОГО

Совершенно верно подмечено. Негативные элементы (Контрастность драки Гамзи и отсутствие спора между Роуз и Дейвом который бы связал все как нужно, для которого даже особо не надо редактировать уже имеющиеся сцены) это то что я и сам уже заметил перед выпуском анимации, но все делалось к жесткому дедлайну и добавить и переделать сцены я уже тут не мог. Не оправдание - ибо полностью на мне и от меня, однако попытаюсь что бы такого более не повторилось. Насчет мини боссов, тут имеется немного другое направление от того что они просто натурально созданные противники для игры, но болтают они чересчур, это однозначно. Что касается Канайи и бензопилы, конкретно в этом сегменте истории я думал о том что бы было более подчеркнутое физическое и визуальное противопоставление Гамзии и Канайи, в виду того какие роли они играют и как их 'способности' схожи. Возможно не лучшее решение, однако я пришел к этому. (А еще очень рад что решение с пирогом показалось подходящим, хорошо слышать что оно такое элегантное как я и думал, лол) Ну, слово 'пилот" как минимум отображает мои намерения достаточно четко. Надеюсь так же четко он обозначает и будущее. Печально что видео не так сильно понравилось как хотелось бы, но любые недочеты это уже напоминание того как их избежать в будущем. Спасибо за развернутый комментарий! Почаще бы видеть такие (Особенно под хомосаком, лол) Спасибо еще раз!
