As you know Aizen stole a part of Rangiku's spiritual power to strengthen his Hyogoku.And Gin witnessed his men handing over the Hyogoku to him. Gin concluded that they were the ones who attacked Rangiku which was true and yes Gin loved Rangiku but he knew to defeat Aizen he needs to get close to him. Hence he also kept his distance from her. It's a huge sacrifice he made. He knew he has sinned just to achieve his goal which is why he says sorry to her because even after all this he could not return what was taken from her. This is a tragic love story.

Actually... What aizen stole from rangiku wasn't her SP or anything like that... What aizen took from rangiku was a piece of the soul king power. Rangiku had "the nail" of the soul king and aizen took that from her because he needed piece of the soul king power for the hogyoku to be complete.

here’s my recap of Gin’s flashbacks for you, I hope this will help you understand better if you missed something Gin found Rangiku lying on the ground and then went looking for people responsible for that. He found them giving something (that Gin guessed was taken from Rangiku) to Aizen therefore their boss So Gin then decided that he would kill Aizen and take back what they stole from Rangiku That was his motivation Also he didn’t try to kill Aizen before because I guess he didn’t have the right moment to do it, he needed to 1) know his sword’s weakness, so it wouldn’t be an illusion 2) activate bankai somehow so Aizen wouldn’t notice p.s. I guess it all probably had already been explained on Patreon but anyways 😅 Great reaction as always ❤

Don't feel bad for Gin. He was a prick and deserved to die frankly. He's not a hero just because he loved Rangiku and wanted revenge. It doesn't justify that he was a willing participant in all of Aizen's crimes and the lives they either took away or ruined. It also shouldn't excuse the fact that Gin's a sadist who frequently tormented people, both physically and emotionally, for no reason other than his own amusement. Momo, Izuru, Toshiro, Rukia, Ichigo, Jidanbo, Hiyori and heck even Rangiku are all on the receiving end of his cruel streak. At least when Itachi pulled this crap it was slightly more understandable because he was trying to prevent a greater tragedy, spent the rest of his life wracked with guilt and ultimately planned to die at Sasuke's hands. Gin doesn't seemed to have considered the consequences of any of his actions past killing Aizen. His death is the only time I actually rooted for Aizen; good riddance you evil fucking snake!

Itachi was willing to take the main character to the Akatsuki and killed him and you telling me that's understandable? He also weakened the village by taking out the second strongest jonin
