Just like when toshiro squad, rangiku, ikaku sent to the living world against the arrancars, they have similar seals that restricted their power by half, and at the end they broke the seal and went normal power then killed all the arrancars.

Fun fact. Most of the Squad Zero fight was new for the anime, including the bankai Senjumaru used. The author wasnt kidding when he said he had a lot in store for even us manga readers
