No wonder a Swiss chorus is capable of singing in many culture's voices, showing empathy and openness. We are accustomed to live in a multicultural country, peacefully, with four languages. And with multicultural I don't mean "foreigners", I mean Swiss. Maybe this is the mindset, people could learn from us, all around the globe - and especially the people in the Balkans too... it's a mindset question.

No foreigner sung any better any Albanian song until now. Compliments! This is a very popular song in Albania. It might have been composed around 1940's by some author from Shkodra. I have heard also a version of this song as a soundtrack of a Serbian movie "Kapetan Leši" (1960) dedicated to the Albanian partisan martyr Ramiz Sadiku. Later, the same song became a hymn of the ultras football group of Belgrade's Partizan, often sung against its Albanian original authors.

@alb0zfinest5 жыл бұрын
SenaTheOne Sorry but those are your own nostalgic memories without real tangible context. Albanians since the creation of Yugoslavia were treated as second class citizen, and there were various organs in place to forcefully assimilate them. Yugoslavia went as far as forcefully deporting thousands of Albanians to Turkey.

@@kosovaisalbania3720 True. We didnt like you shiptars because you always openly expressed you preferred albania then yugoslavia. The problem was marshal tito who gave you too much rights. You should all be stopped at that time from moving from albanian mountains to Serbian kosovo and metohija

@@goranboromisab7767 ohh no no , Kosova Up to the Njish Nisus & half of so called Macedonia half of Montenegro & Çameria are Albanian lands occupied by slavs & so called Greece. As for you are very late comers mate. Albanians are native on our lands and Illyrian peninsula.
@HK-pp9ig Жыл бұрын
@@goranboromisab7767 ... yep, people like you brought the war in ex-Jugoslavia. People in Kosovo deserve to govern themselves. I do not want to start an argument here about if Serbs (a South Slavic tribe) came to the Balkans after 6th century AD; or if Albanians are the only Illyrians... well, we Albanians are not Slavic for sure, we did not come from anywhere; but on the other hand, Serbs have a great tantamount to glorious history from Medieval times ruling what's today Serbia, Albanian, North Macedonia, Greece and Epirus; and valiantly fought against Ottomans... until Serbs as many other Balkan nations like Greece and Albania, etc., lost, and went into a long dark age. Serbs in general lost a lot, retrieved north and north-east far away from the Ottomans, but did not change their belief in Orthodox Christianity; others like Bosnians changed religion; Albanians massively converted; whether to save in heavy taxes or to keep their guns (allowed only for Muslims), this is to debate; Muslims in Balkan benefited from the Ottoman Empire; probably here starts the hate of Serbs against Albanians, but still the visceral hate in many Serbs against Albanians as a nation does not sit well with human beings. I know there are many people in Serbia, especially in Belgrade, who have nothing against Albanians, probably never seen one in real life, but they are bombarded, brainwashed by Serbian propaganda as if Albanians are monkeys with a tail... and no matter how ridiculous this sound, it is a true Serbian propaganda that many Serbs believe to be true. A Serbian guy wrote a post saying one day on the airplane he sat near a white tall guy who spoke no English and needed to complete a form for the US customs... the Serbian helped him only to see upon leaving that the guy pulled a passport with Kosovo on it... the Serbian said he hated that, he started singing a "patriotic" Serbian song that had a lot of profanities against Albanians, but the Kosovo Albanian guy did not turn his head... the Serbian guy wrote, he hated that the Kosovar was white and tall... he had expected Kosovo Albanians to be dark skinned and what not... perceptions. Kosovo Albanians hate Serbs too, but their hate is born out of fear of Serbian soldiers going to their homes and killing men and women and children and elderly. France, one of the filo-Serb countries was dismayed to find albanian babies being killed by Serbian forces in Kosovo.. and joined NATO decision in bombarding Serbian military stations... Only if Serbia had one face; the nice one that they show to the west, not the primitive barbarian face they show toward Albanians. I have a Serbian co-worker who felt ashamed being Serb... and did not tell people he was a Serbian until I challenged him. Serbia is a European country with European values, but its politicians are headed East toward Russia, instead of toward Europe. I hope one day Serbs and Albanians will find the courage to reconcile just like they found the courage to kill one-another. Germans and the French did this, and they killed one-another more than Serbs and Albanians did; then why can't Albainans and Serbs reconcile?
