Some tomes agent says they are porting it but when portability is not there which is a later surprise to them what they do is silently creates new policy without informing you, pls keep right question and record it properly so that u can cancel on the basis of conversation that also in some limited period. I went through same situation, cross checked agent multiple times about porting for one of the policy, at the last moment they disclosed saying porting they can't do. Important ones pls question multiple times, most agents are half knowledge people, they say yes to everything, at the end when application getting filled if u ask for that option then they don't what to say and also applications should be filled infront of you, u needs to check that properly, they fool you, while going for a policy we are interacting with illiterate agents keep in mind.
