I think Ickey will be one of the top LTs this year with this scheme

I believe u talked about this last year. Him admitting it is crazy and real at the same time. Recognizing mistakes creates change💯

Ickey’s is going to be fine. Truthfully, I believe he checked out when Wilks didn’t get the job. Many don’t want to hear that but I truly believe it was a morale killer for a young black player. If was a finger to Tepper. But I think he is trying to move on and Canales seems like a breath of fresh air, somebody u would actually want to play for. Expect a much better season from a Ickey and a huge boost to that offensive lines. I have a good feeling, watch out for these Panthers. They are being built the right way. This is low key the season to be excited.

If he checked out just because his mediocre assistant coach who just got fired for choking the Super Bowl didn’t get hired, he doesn’t have the mental makeup to be a great player in this league.
@MJ-qb6kt4 ай бұрын
@@Josh-hz8vz it is a statement u realize not everyone will understand. But that’s ok, it’s not meant for all to understand. It is what is. However, the good news, I believe it is behind him and now he will put forth the effort and show why he is a tremendous football player.

@@Josh-hz8vzalso it wasn’t as though the Panthers hired an improvement in his place….that actually went to the Super Bowl…🤔 Facts….

@@Josh-hz8vzI mean him being able to actually openly admit this is a good start in the right direction. I’m hoping he’s going to bounce back and actually improve

Also Duncan, in the spirit of building the right way. I like how Dan Morgan is truly bringing so much depth to each position (except corner). Injuries can derail a great offseason, but depth is a good remedy! Love ur channel, one of my favorite Panthers social media channels.

Man, I was shocked he even stated that dribble. Shows his need for more maturity, as well as the lack of coaching he received last year. To allow him to maintain that mentality all year and no one got in his stuff, was telling. The coaches needed to go.

Icky just stated what all the fans were wondering. It comes in the same vein to me with what Burns said. That he played the year being overly concerned about getting injured. Icky and Burns both coasted. You would think pros getting paid millions would not hesitate to give their all especially with thousands of people watching every week.

I’m surprised the coaches allowed him to maintain that mentality all year. Shows that they needed to go. Also shows his lack of maturity. Hopefully, after hearing the interview. Catales and team will not only stay in his ear to make sure it’s not repeated, but also give him some guidance on how to interview in the future.

Where were the coaches?! They should be held responsible for allowing it. He needed accountability.
@zackpetruccione88734 ай бұрын
Apparently they were too busy looking out for themselves and their own jobs instead of focusing on helping the players and team as a whole. That’s why none of the offensive coaching staff is here anymore lol

Ultimately, this was still a reflection of the overall disharmony of the team last season. The small details and intangibles were missed across the board on offense.

It took him an entire season to realize this? 17 games? What he really meant to say is that he is not a man and just realized that. As a professional, you need to be able to make those adjustments, especially when you know your game isn't going well. It was obvious he should have done something. How many people does he need help from? What can he do on his own? It makes no sense to me. Now, for him to admit this, it's improvement. He also probably is improving which helped give him the confidence in order to come forward with this announcement. I only hope he does improve or else he will be a bust, almost as bad as Jeff Otah.

Man the offensive coaching staff last year really just sitting back cashing checks. Nobody coaching ickey, nobody teaching tremble routes, run the same play half the game. Sounds like Frank started retirement after Indy not Carolina.

I'm NOT a fan of Ickey's mentality. His rookie year was barely mid. Dude acts like he made the Pro Bowl in his first year. If he is not a completely different dude this year, we need to start thinking about his replacement. He is a terrible pass blocker.
