In August 2004, I received from Manuel Cardona a signed copy of his classic book on Fundamentals of Semiconductors as a prize for the Best Poster at the at the 11th International Conference on High‐Pressure Semiconductor Physics (HPSP‐11) in Berkeley, USA. I'm honored to be recognized as a Manuel Cardona lecturer in 2021.
