Don’t care about skin color or look I feel every Muslim brother and sister ,I drive a limo in Chicago some prayer time comes when on the Road I will search a mosque near me don’t care who run the mosque ,just go inside and pray
@MPam16194 жыл бұрын
Alhamdulillah! You distinguish yourself brother because there are many Muslims, sadly, who would not choose to go anywhere to pray. This is because racism is worldwide, systemic and it can be found even among Muslims. You are also fortunate that you don't have to think about color. I also think it would be grossly unfair to suggest that all Muslims who are of obvious African descent walk around thinking about color. However, when we're confronted with an injustice, however, we must think about it and address it appropriately and head on. This is the way of a Muslim, we do not tolerate injustice in any form. For example, I have had the experience of feeling happy at preparing to pray with a group of sisters only to find a sister inching away from me during the salat. I happen to be a brown skinned, African American Muslim and I have only had this occur when praying next to lighter skinned, immigrant sisters. Malaysian & Algerian sisters would be exceptions; when attending Jumu'ah in their countries, I found the sisters to be warm & welcoming. And, when they stood next to me for prayer they smooshed me (that's a good thing) they stood so close.

We can't deny racism is real n that was why Rasulullah(saw) warned us against it in his last sermon. Emphasizing the most honorable is the one with most Taqwa. If our beloved messenger discussed it, we can also do in the right context. May Allah guide us to the best! Ameen.

A nation (America's) whose language you shall not understand. A fierce and heartless nation (America's) that shows no respect for the old and no pity for the young. Will scatter you among all the nations from one end of the earth to the other. And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword (N-Word) among all the peoples where the LORD will lead you away. A people that you do not know (America's) will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. You will be unsuccessful in everything you do; day after day you will be oppressed and robbed, with no one to rescue you. The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will eat none of it. Your donkey will be forcibly taken from you and will not be returned. Your sheep will be given to your enemies, and no one will rescue them. Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days. The sights you see will drive you mad They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them. They will be the head, but you will be the tail They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you. The Lord will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation (America's) unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood (Cross() and (Kabaa) stone You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations, and when you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.” But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions." Amos 9:7 Are ye not as children of the Cushites unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt?) In Zephaniah 3:10, the prophet proclaims: From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring me offerings God is speaking of gathering His lost sheep back to Him. Beyond the rivers of Ethiopia - which is East Africa - lies West Africa. Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. Al hamdulillah...a whole lot of knowledge packed into so little time.
There is a serious need for more INTRA-faith gathering rather INTER-faith. Many Masjids are in a serious need of implicit-bias training (Diversity & Inclusion). This was beautifully said Sister Ieasha.
