You know, I was watching 'Reign Over Me' - and watching that for (must've been the 5th time, I love the symbolism Shadow of The Colossus plays in it) and then 'thought of ICO, what introduced me to the game. Thinking about that, I begun to play it again, and I remember doing something I'd always do as a kid. 'Find a stone couch, sit on it, and just let it play it's little melodic tune, and never let it stop. I always liked it. It actually annoys me quite a bit when I can't keep up with all of these warm little details.

Can't keep up in which ways? That you cannot enjoy such small details when gaming? Well, it gets harder with age and with increasing responsibilities increasing the weight on our shoulders, I guess. It got harder for me as well. I usually need a special combination of enough free time (i.e. a weekend), finished real-life stuff, a decent amount of sleep and a game with an ambiance immersing me enough to get hooked up by such things.

Not that I can't enjoy the small details, no. But in ways, that it is difficult to remember all of the little things that you enjoy when you discover them as a kid. For me personally, it's impossible to keep track of them. Particular songs, certain games, that sort of thing. However, it being difficult to keep up with them, it still does make way for discovering them later on again, and embracing that certain nostalgia when it hits you. Like this melody, I totally had forgotten about it, a very long ways ago. It does get difficult with age, that I've noticed. It helps to keep a notebook on hand, I suppose.

Well thank god there is KZbin. If I find recognizeable things in games - be it certain scenes, voice acting or music - I'm pretty certain to find it already uploaded it on KZbin one way or another. My playlists already contain several stuff I haven't encountered in recent times but during my youth or childhood.
