Does the internal antenna tuner not quite cut it? Requiring an external tuner?

I just do the external because I have an amplifier that's why but the internal it's just as good

Ts890 I have had both but don't get me wrong the 7610 a great radio their more customisation you can do on the 890 and the quality build second to none if the dual vfo on the 7610 are important to you and easy use touch screen and you want a plug and go rig icom may be your better option

I have a TS990 and it is my baby. I got it 7 years ago and still love it as much now as day 1. It has the best of both worlds with knobs and menus. My 7300 has me sold on Icom as a good backup radio.

I had the same choice to make, TS890 or IC7610. I ended with the 7610 because of availability in NL and the fact is the 7610 can do the same (and more because of dual VFO) as the 890 for less. The 890 is about 800 euro's more here, that's a lot of money.
