Congratulations to the 500 hams across the world who are eager to upgrade from the IC-7851 to the IC-7860. Meanwhile the IC-7100 has now been on the market for 11 years. We were spoilt in the 2000's when Icom produced replacement models every 3 years (think the IC-706 and IC-756 series).

Likely a 7860, which will be a big disappointment. What it should be is a 7610 with 2m/440.

Unlikely as they would hurt ic 9700 sales.

@@nandrews8412 well, they have the ic-7100. Why not give it a refresh? A sale is a sale. 9700 has been on sale/discounted for ages now

The 7610 is an HF contesting rig. I don't believe you'll see that change anytime ever. But you never know.

Sounds like a good guess

High performance VHF/UHF is too much of a niche and people will be unhappy with the price. The IC-9100 was an example and didn't sell well. Before that, Icom tried the IC-970H that was a really cool rig but super expensive and only stayed on the market for a few years.
