I always thought this was a touching song, but now seeing the live version, hearing the raw emotion.. It's heartbreaking, but in a good way. It destroys you, then rebuilds you into something stronger. I'm a grown man, and I cried manly tears listening to this. It was just too powerful. Too powerful for words, really.

Recently heard this song & immediately loved/related to its lyrics & energy-reminded me of Amy Lee-which is a 💜compliment. “You are Lovely” in the song is brilliant because I lived decades in the bleak darkness & self-loathing was extreme…. my severe christian childhood was unbearable & I was ready to leave the world age 10. Definitely drawn to this song for that reason & I left my entire family- I’m much older now but still find comfort in songs that represent the indescribable pain-feeling are not always able to be expressed in words but music often transcends spoken words.
