Icon of the Seas Construction Update: Floating Out for the First Time

The world’s best family vacation is one step closer to its highly anticipated debut in January 2024. #IconoftheSeas reached its next major construction milestone in December 2022. With 58 million gallons of water, five tugboats, and one cannon shot, watch how the revolutionary ship was floated out of dry dock and into its outfitting pier at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, where it will complete its final stages of construction.

Some questions: 1. Is this the first ship in the family that have 5 bow thrusters?!? 😱 2. Is she higher then Oasis class or is it "just" the weight and lenght? 3. Despite looks, the bow design serves a purpose. The parabolic bow (what Icon has) is designed to add stability which is why several newer ships have been designed with it. Besides, the ships bow won't be much of a concern anyway with what Icon is gonna have to offer.
