I’ve been a fan of Henry Winkler but this puts him into an entirely higher category. He seems to have the “Mr Rodger’s” approach of being very into the moment and making the person he talks to the only one in the room. Thank you Emmy for doing this. Incredible questions. Henry was a frequent flyer at a small Casino in Reno I worked at. He was always fun and gracious with our staff. He would stop and give his thumbs up HEYYYY when he walked in and give autographs to all who asked. Class ACT. Can not say the same for Alex Baldwin who reduced staff to tears.😡

This was such a treat!! For those of us who have been enjoying Henry Winkler since we were kids, this feels just like we were there having breakfast with THE FONZ!! I feel like this is the most real I've ever seen him, not that Henry is anything other than completely genuine, but this was not on a tv set, or with other famous people, just a regular family, eating breakfast. I bet he is the best grandfather. I was one of the lucky one's who had all of my grandparents in my life and was very close to all of them. I did have a favorite, but only because I think we enjoyed the same things. Now that I'm an older person myself, I can appreciate how truly lucky I was having and knowing my grandparents.

My Grandfather was an excellent person who would joke and make me laugh. I imagine Henry Wrinkler is a Grandfather that is like that with his six grandchildren. I bet they adore and love him!

@@karenreacher9079 My parents said to all us kids that we loved our grandparents so much because they'd already done the hard work of raising their own kids and the hard work of turning our decent human beings. As grandparents their biggest job was love Love LOVE their grandkids. They'd tell us one day they'll get to have that same job, and it will be as wonderful for them as it is for our grandparents, we should just wait and see. THEY WEREN'T WRONG!! I barely recognized my parents as the same people they were before having grandkids in their lives! We always had weekly chores to do at home, then at the end of the week we'd get our allowance. We always wanted to help out at our grandparents house because they made everything fun, laughing and singing to music while working in the yard, and helping to clean the house. When we'd go to the store and my grandfather would say "You kids can go pick out one piece of candy, but don't tell your grandma or she'll tan my hide". We didn't quite know what that meant, but it didn't sound good! The truth is, my grandparent never EVER spanked or hit us in any way. We just loved them and were always so hurt when we "disappointed them" by bad behavior.

I have a feeling if Nate did consent to get a dog, that dog would gravitate to Nate more than the rest of the family. That dog would sense that Nate waited a long time to have his family have a dog. That dog will love Nate, and will always want to hang out with him. Nate will feel the same about the dog. I suspect the family will joke with him, and remind him he didn't want a dog for a very long time.

That was an amazing interview Emmy. ❤ Henry Winkler is like ONE OF THE genuine beautiful people in movies/fame. So down to earth, giving his time & treating others like they are equals. He gave you good advice Emmy, you do a wonderful job and I love how you give your guests the “spud potato” he’s adorable!❤ I used to watch “The Fonz” on Happy Days and can still remember to tune to happy days. The Grease movie Henry was in with Olivia I can remember it all as clear as day. Henry is a fabulous actor, someone who knows what is important in life, family and his dogs, plus knowing how to treat others, where so many are arrogant and won’t put themselves out for anyone, Henry is just so genuine, I loved him trying to find his “big elephant” photo that was just so lovely it was important to him to show you his huge elephant friend from Thailand. Congratulations Emmy on another wonderful interview!❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🩷 Nate, you know that when you get a puppy especially one that has 50% or more poodle in its breed they don’t shed and are hypoallergenic, more than other dogs. We have a little Maltipoo who is 1 year old today, he is half Maltese, half Toy Poodle, so he is tiny. He doesn’t shed, but the “Doodle” breeds come in all sizes and are all adorable no matter which mis or full poodle you get. They are the most living and wonderful companions. We have had puppy’s and cats at least 1 or 2 of each since our children were young. After our last cat passed away my hubby said ‘No more’ I couldn’t stand not having any pets after a lifetime of having them, so we now have a a Ragdoll cat, he sheds a ton of fur, out Maltipoo shed none. Seriously Nate if you buy a dog for the family you won’t regret it. Just have to train them which is just being consistent and praising ALL their good behaviour…our puppy follows us everywhere and never likes to be away from us.

I saw Henry Winkler in a Broadway play in NYC in June 2001. It was a small theater and he was so good in it. He really is a talented man. I love that Emmy has these experiences. As a former reporter, I see one in the making. Make sure she learns those old school rules, Nate. Most of all, I hope she enjoys the ride. I also met Ann Curry on that NYC trip and told her I was in my first year as a newspaper reporter out of college. She told me, “make a difference.” Nate, you and Emmy already are. Emmy may not know it yet.

Emmy!!!! What an awesome day for you! An added bonus you couldn't have known, how HAPPY so many of us were able to see Henry today, as a real person, and truly a super human! His generosity from within shines through, and you were exchanging so many bright moments with him, but it's those of us that grew up with him and watching him. On Happy Days a new character came on the show for a "cameo" appearance, only for a few shows. The Fonz had a girlfriend named Casey, and our daughter's name comes from this character!
