iconic AVPM moments that made me fall in love with starkid-10th anniversary special

The year is 2010. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 was soon to be released. I had just finished rereading all the books in preparation. There were very few things I cared more about than Harry Potter. Theater was one of those things. So when my sister told me there was a musical based on Harry Potter I freaked out. It was the greatest thing I had ever seen. I watched it over and over and I would obnoxiously quote it to my friends all the time. I was OBSESSED! From there, I discovered more and more of Starkid’s shows and I grew to love the company and everything they did. I’ve had so many amazing memories from watching them over the past eight and a half years . Starkid is part of my life now and it’s all thanks to one show made by a group of college kids 10 years ago. So this video is meant to celebrate A Very Potter Musical, the show that started it all.

I was a High school senior when avpm came out. I had a friend who had Draco’s “Hermione is a 10” speech as her voicemail...on her flip phone. I later watched the sequels. Every once in a while my sister would remind me starkid existed, and we watched twisted together. Now, I’m in love with “GWDLM”. Luv you starkid.

I had a similar story but it was in 2011, after the last HP movie came out and I obviously had this Post-Potter depression and then I saw a comment saying that the movies are over but there is A POTTER MUSICAL! And it was everything any real HP fan would need in his life, after not so good movies, a fanmade musical with everything we love about these series.

Aww this video was super nostalgic :) I was super into AVPM and AVPS when I was in middle school (so around 9 years ago)- but eventually I fell out with it for a while. When I was a senior in high school, I watched Twisted and loved it. And now this year, my senior year of college, I watched TGWDLM and Firebringer, TTO, and I’m in the middle of HMB- it’s so nice to fall back in love with something I loved when I was younger. ♥️

Crazy it's been 10 years already! I was 17 in high school at the time.
