Back in 1982 when the NFL players in the US went on strike, I found and fell in love with AFL. I’ve been a Cats fan since. I have a question about the Swan’s # 39 shown towards the end of the clip. I am new on watching the sport. I like it a lot and I try to keep up. But can someone explain me what a mark is?? 🤣 I am in the "6 points in the middle one on the sides" level 🤣

So basically a mark, is when someone kicks the ball 15m or over, and someone catches it. If they are looking to kick it to someone the get 15 seconds where no one is allowed to tackle them or run at them, but if they are taking a shot at goal they get 30 seconds to take their shot.

Ablett controlled the ball to the ground, Capper needed to put his hands in opposition players' backs to take most of his marks,...dont confuse a show pony with the GOAT.

Abletts was nowhere near a mark, just because he and the ball fell in the same direction at the same speed, doesn't mean he controlled it, to say he spilt it would suggest he had control of it at some stage, which he didn't. All he did was make contact with the ball, influencing its trajectory. Cappers mark was a mark, controlled it from initial contact until he was back on the ground, yeah he was probably infringing but at least he held it.. Butt hurt cats supporter!
