@@phillinsogood Actually, britney was pretty much dragged for kissing madonna, cause it was during an era where she was getting a ton of backlash already. But the backlash janet received was very undeserved, with misogyny and racism playing a part. Nobody dragged justin for what happened… he didn’t even apologize properly until like, a decade later.

@@noemistephanie93 they actually both talked about it in Janet’s documentary. @beautifulmistake54033 жыл бұрын
@@reng935 she wasn’t one to do stunts like that. she didn’t need to either since she was literally coming off the back of a career peak, on the biggest stage. She did not need the buzz. The buzz was there. If anything, the tear away might have been a second too early, and should have been exposed just as the cameras cut away to create an illusion. That would have been more in line of Janet’s style.

"The whole broadcasting industry was changed forever" Yet society has not changed that much to understand a female nipple is just like a male nipple. We educate further to understand not to sexualize female brests.

bahahahhahaha. No, the female breasts are sexualized that is why you cover them. Trust me, once you saw how certain "people" act around women freeing their nip the sjws and wokes would be right back saying to cover it up again.
@justsayin75583 жыл бұрын
Whether it was planned is not the important issue/focus. Men have the right to show their nipples but woman are punished. We all have nipples. Bored people need to stop making big deals over nothing and put their energy into something that's actually productive/helping world. Ones personal feelings/preferences are separate from the inherent harm resulting from actions. Ur telling me men complained about seeing a nip... thats a first. If it was woman complaining, how could they find their own bodies so offensive. This much hype just teaches kids that they should be triggered by some of their body parts...and a body part they were just utilizing for survival from mom. How confusing. It is a sexualized, hypocritical society... Janet should not be singled out... but apparently it's easier to throw a tantrum and take pleasure in watching the power of ur feelings destroy a fellow human than actually figure out how to create core changes.

What Beth McCarthy Miller explains seems the most logical, he was supposed to rip the bra on "song" instead of "end" and we saw too much. The lights would have been off if the timing was right and it was supposed to be a tease. Janet and Justin were both banned from the Grammys, then reinvited on the condition they apologize again on air. The seating with Janet's name was still made, you can see the photo on GettyImages. Jimmy Jam did an interview saying Janet was debating whether or not she should go.
