Hi there Evie~ I just plugged mine in to do the "test run", but nowhere in the booklet does it say how long to run it for the test- w/no food in it. Just curious if yours happens to give any clearer instruction on this step? Thanks, in advance- if you happen to see this anytime in the next hour, hehehe=) Just realized the silliness of my request! Thanks anyhow~ Samantha in AZ

@@evieg6315 Well, how about that?! Ten minutes is exactly what I did- w/all the doors & windows open, as there was a smell from the off-gassing. My husband then had to chase a big bummblebee around to shoo it back outside - but we still enjoyed our first meal cooked in the new air fryer tonight- stuffed, bacon wrapped chicken from Costco & roasted broccoli- delicious, & under 30 minutes! Thanks so much Evie- I appreciate the reply & the confirmation. -Samantha

It's very easy to figure out fast ; I've only had mine a week and I know I can cook anything in this thing . I put pork ribs on the skewers and yes it was hard but they came out really good . I love that this oven can cook things from frozen in just minutes . The mittens work great . French bread pizza done in just a couple minutes ; it's all really amazing .

Thanks for your video. My only complaint is that you shoot this in the ridiculous handheld phone format. Have you ever noticed that feature film, documentary film and all the greatest and most wonderful of all instructional videos are shot 16:9 aspect ratio( the letterbox?), like the box I’m typing in. There’s a reason for that.

I got one of these about a month and a half ago, we really loved it until the other day, tried to use the dehydrator function, worked fine for 30 mins and then the fan stopped working alltogether, and havent been able to get it working again since. Its still pretty much brand new but i bought it "used" on FB marketplace (everything was still sealed and in the plastic/boxes) and i cannot for the life of me figure out whats wrong, im assuming the fan motor just gave out spontaneously or something.

Perhaps you can call the company and tell them you received it as a gift and you do not have the receipt they will be able to see that the item is brand new by the condition that it’s in. Perhaps they will ask you to take some photos of it and the inside of it … I’m not sure. If it was brand new in the box, did you have the registration papers, did you register it?

I never got around to using the rotisserie. There is a button setting for the chicken so I would just put the rotisserie up and press the button. I turned it on just now and pressed the button and it seems to indicate 400°. The timer seems to be set at 30 minutes but I would definitely increase that.

If you buy the air fryer you will see in the instruction booklet that there is a cooking chart which tells you, according to how big your piece of meat is, or how many items you place in there, the time and the temperature to cook it. If you are asking for directions on specific recipes you may have to ask the person who is actually making that video what setting they used. I hope this helps!

@@evieg6315 thank you. I bought this same one. My question is which preset button would be for grilling? The pictures are great on the pre settings but which is for grilling?? Or which picture for toasted cheese? I’m sorry, I know I sound so stupid! I would really appreciate a little help on what the pictures stand for.
@evieg6315
@evieg6315 3 жыл бұрын
@@vbridges1000 Hi. There is no grill button because it’s not a grill, it’s an air fryer which basically is a convection oven. Grills usually cook from the bottom and air fryers cook from the top with the fan blowing around to circulate the air. I’m not sure which recipe you’re trying to make but if you look in the instruction booklet it does have a lot of different meats and it tells you what preset to put it on or what temperature and time to cook it at. If you look up a recipe and say it says 400° I would usually lower the temperature by maybe 25° so if it says 400 I would cook it at 375 and I would shorten the time as well as the air fryer cooks much quicker.

Evie. On your air fryer, do you have a roast button or a pre heat button?
@evieg6315
@evieg6315 2 жыл бұрын
There is no button that says roast or preheat. This machine preheats very quickly if you put it up at the temperature desired. There are, however, picture buttons for fries, one for a rack of meat, one for fish, one for shrimp, one for pizza, one for chicken, one for cake, one for rotisserie, and one for dehydrating food.

Just wanted to update my previous comment from last month. Loving the air fryer! I even got a pullman style loaf pan to try bread soon. One word of caution however... I'm using the dehydrator function for beef jerky and I decided to check the temperature (instead of trusting the set temp displayed). I had the oven set to 165F but only got a reading of about 155 or so by laying a cheap thermometer inside with the probe not touching anything. When I turned the heat up to 170....It actually got to 170. I'll retest this another time with a better thermometer. When I feel the jerky is done I'm going to set the oven function to 180 and run it for just a couple minutes and test internal temps for safety. I tried blueberries recently and they took so long that I lost track (on and off for days). I didn't "shock" them in boiling water/ice water first, but I did poke through each one with a wood skewer (small batch). In between attempts I vacuum sealed them in a mason jar so I could cook meals. I was using very low temps at first and I'm pretty sure it was even lower than I thought. Don't get me wrong...it's been a great and versatile oven so far but always check your food temps. I'll do a full test in the future with better equipment as I'm going to do (my first ever) Amazon review for this product.
