I hated history in school and i still am not naturally drawn to it...but something is now drawing me to museum and or archivist work. I do love research and learning the stories behind objects and things. And I can hang out in a library for hours and not get bored. I think it is because I have always associated history with wars and politics which still doesn't capture my interest. But history is so much more. My fascination is art, jewelry, cultures, archeology, and mythology and research of any kind. Working in a museum or library would be a dream job for me too.

khloe38 Wow. My feelings are exactly the same. Schools always associate history with wars and violence and we never really get to see the beauty in it because we don’t look deeper.

I have a keen interest for history but I dont want to teach or edit books. I think a curator would be the ideal career for me with a history degree. I hope you get to travel and bring back things to exhibit

It can be art history as your main subject and museology on the side
