To stay warm, I recommend getting Merino wool and cashmere blend base layers like a thin turtle neck or tee shirt, tights and leggings. I love Uniqlo's heat tech tops especially the turtlenecks and their ultra thin wool sweaters, plus cashmere blend DKNY stirrups with thick tights underneath which allowed me to wear skirts with no bulk. That's what I used to wear when I lived in NYC during frigid winters. I hope that helps.

I loved number 5 with those trainers! And mind you, those are very mild on the chunky-scale, and that’s why I really really like them. It’s currently SO cold and SO snowy here in Finland that my key winter pieces are a puffer jacket in men’s XL (feels like I’m walking in a sleeping bag) and an oversized rainbow scarf from ASOS (feels like I’ve wrapped a blanket around my head). I purchased the medium Chloe Tess Bag, Medium in Black. The calfskin isn't that soft, and since it is rather structured, the interior isn't that accommodating. I have an iPhone Plus phone, regular sized wallet, some makeup odds and ends and car fob and sunflasses. It was a struggle. The pocket inside isn't that helpful. A lot of Channel owners are gifted, used vouchers etc for the bag. I paid 2k USD. I returned it, sadly I wanted a Crossbody bag, but with that price point I wanted a more accommodating bag. Of course everyone is different.
