personally I think the dfinity team is doing the marketing right, since loads of developers are moving to their chain which was their main focus. Adoption will follow once these amazing developers will put out some cool products like you with cityscape !

I agree with you. ICP is the one stop shop. Dfinity burning money on marketing is not a good idea, IMO. They're one player and you've got thousands of companies competing for marketshare trying to push their own blockchain, their own xyz. Dfinity just needs to maintain focus and pay attention to where the consolidation is going and focus on integrating with large competitors and slowly but surely ICP eats up entire market share. BTC, check. EVM. check. Solana. check. Next stop Polkadot.

Hey James I’ve signed up with ICP but having a hard time understanding where I should start to learn this platform. There’s lots going on and doesn’t look like it’s for the average Joe. I’m 65 and have a decent head on my shoulders but I’m just stumped how to use this thing lol Are there any masterclasses on how to use the basics such as open chat or how to buy coins or stake them?

Always look forward to your opinion, and look up to you as an ICP OG. You’re right, differing opinions are needed within our community, helps to keep things real. ICP should be way bigger by now. But let’s look at the amount of worldwide conferences that Dfinity has been participating in over the year. Almost every weekend at the biggest showcases of technology, in front of people who need it the most. For the masses, they are not interested, and/or paying attention at all. However seeds are being planted far and wide, and the ecosystem is growing at a rapid rate. How I see it, the universe is giving the opportunity for whoever needs/deserves to be in, to get in. Then we leave the station. The foundation is strong and the seeds are planted. Builders are building. Word is spreading. As much as I want my plants to grow, they are on their own schedule. Provide them all the care, nutrients and sunlight, and they will grow when ready. Like BobbyO says, 5 big institutions on-boarding ICP can onboard the world. Retail will follow, following the path of least resistance. Once technology takes a huge leap forward, we never go back. Appreciate you bro 👊 keep building and advocating for for team ICP ! 🍻

It shouldn't be bigger by now. Like he said, DFinity marketing is exactly why ICP is where its at. You have to understand just how much marketing EVM and Solana have put in. It's absolutely insane how much marketing a lot of crypto space is pushing, on snake oil and hype. If you take a step back and look at the big picture, alot of crypto is absolutely overvalued. I mean, seriously overvalued. Way overvalued than even crypto folks can imagine. Alot of the space is propped up by marketing and hype. Lots of VC burning money on stuff that general pop don't care about. It's a lions den while Dfinity is in their little corner letting all this money pile into the space. Why fight when you can let everyone else fight, and then pick up the pieces when they're all exausted.

It's been hushed up attacked on all fronts sometimes I think even that some, but not all of the icp influencers don't do it justice ridiculous price predictions just to get views. I'm happy to get a few here and there when I can. Let Dom and the team do there stuff. The price is the price it doesn't concern me at the moment. What's the point in wasting millions on marketing when it is better spent on developing. Besides the best marketeer for the project is Dominic himself and the progress.

It’s not marketing, you couldn’t be more wrong. ICP has several venture capitalists funding them. They’ve had so many rounds of funding that they definitely don’t have money or marketing issues. The primary cause for poor marketing is money and Dfinity doesn’t have that problem. The reason why ICP is half of Polkadot’s market cap is obvious. The Chinese banks who manipulate crypto with their trillions are making ICP as inconspicuous as possible as the crypto for 2025 like they did with ETH in 2016 but they are making it more inconspicuous with ICP placing it at #31 with a YTD (year to date) return of -20%. If ICP was being pumped favorably as the crypto to buy, then everyone would want to buy it and the whales wouldn’t make as much in 2025 so it has to be inconspicuous. The whales want two things that often conflict each other: (1) more importantly, allow Chinese to control the world’s reserve currency which would be a crypto to replace the depreciating USD and (2) make lots of money by manipulating cryptos. These Chinese banks will pump ICP hard in 2025 at a far greater case than they did with ETH in 2016. It is foolish to continue to spread this misconception that ICP has a marketing problem. That just shows how vastly misinformed you are and it’s embarrassing to keep spreading this misinformation. The Chinese whales control the narrative and they always have since discovering crypto in 2011. They will once again remind everyone that they and they only control the narrative for every crypto.

icp needs to fix its wallets sending from one icp wallet to another wallet id wallet is difficult - jerry suggest we send a little bit to test first before sending but then the wallet isnt saved so need to copy and paste again. i need an id wallet for each dapp - i have 10 id wallets now … without ability save addresses or have an address book. this is needed for mass adoption
