Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.

We seem to have different views on the definition of camping. I dont often take a mini crane and a building team with me to set up camp. Or a cabin pushed through the woods on wheels ready to build.

So, to go camping in a giant Fig tent, all you need to do is locate a strong, one hundred year old tree with a sturdy trunk, buy a 24 ft extension ladder, rent a one ton Boom truck and hire 3 strong hombres to assemble this abomination. Sounds like fun for all.

Some of these items could go on your back. Some of us just enjoy getting away for a few days without having to pay for a hotel. I have a dog and a lot of hotels don't allow dogs. You sound like you do more hiking than light camping. I'm happy for you and wish I could do that.

@@carolmorris9855 There is a hotel in Southampton that takes dogs in your room, a B&B in Perth that takes dogs in your room. Perth is better than Soton, as it has mountains and hill walks not too far away, great views, and red squirrels, the original European one before the vermin American grey came in to Britain and was allowed to escape. I'm currently attempting to organise a national cull of the tree rats.

Canvas you can fold up and leave / set up in a hurry... these rigid walls will break if you are throwing stuff around trying to leave a combat zone... and then good luck setting it up right with a few broken pieces. I am trying to figure out a good use case lol... Unless it has really amazing thermals for artic temps - I really can't wrap my head around it.

The thought comes to mind, inside of my own head, that perhaps it's all about control, teaching humans over long periods of time, not to get comfortable doing things, that we do not see others doing, and believing in things that are not popular with most others. Pretty soon, that becomes the unspoken law, until it becomes the written law. Sadly, we can not undo these things, once the "concrete" has set, and at this point we are traversing into a world view, no longer individuals, but more of a collective herd, being led to the slaughter.

Well if I remember correctly it was made to house environmental protesters so instead of chains to a tree basically camp there prevents them from chopping it down, which is why it's made to be hard to just take down and even access.

When I was fifteen, I went hiking and camping up the slopes of Mt. Etna (volcano) in Sicily for a week or so. Tent, groundsheet, sleeping bag, cooking equipment and whatever dried food we could carry. Seem to remember getting water from wells at various farms. Best water I've ever tasted.

The phone-charging cube is a new idea, but I'd just bring along battery packs or a small solar charger. Funniest invention has to be the portable toilet. Self-popping tent is probably the one I would go with. The treehouse pod actually looks quite comfortable!

@@tonyug113 I got a pop up play tent for the grandkids, it actually folds away very quickly once you’ve done it a couple of times. As for backpacking, this probably wouldn’t work but for a couple of nights of car camping it would be a pretty good solution, they are pretty cheap, light and store flat. I think these are designed for people who camp a couple of times a year.

Well that Battery charging firepit is nothing new. Biolite came out with that kind of stuff a decade or longer ago. Gimmicky for chargin in real life but still great as Stove. We're using a Biolite for years on overnighters as its compact and with that Kettle boiling up enough water for 4 for a meal easily. But yes Firecube not a new principle at all.

Actually that cabin home has a place and application for emergency housing in disaster situations like floods and fires where a large number of homes have been destroyed and the fire cube is great too. I use the little fold out stoves that come with hex tablets but use sticks often or coals instead where safe. Love the fire pit too. Great for small backyards as is the wood stove. Small compact is the future where everything super large has no place. I must get the chair as I have a disability and there is often no seating at bus stops and train stations or lack of it everywhere. Does the toilet hood have a window? It would great for temporary rain shelter.

The fibre glass pole pop up tent that we have, broke after a few uses and the fibre glass is VERY painful when it pricks your hands /fingers . They are also hard to fold away and get back into it's original shape .

The Cinch popup tent I got a few years ago has been awesome, it has been very durable and the setup is actually really quick. And it's actually waterproof unlike past Coleman tent experoences I'm still salty about.

The pop-up tent was originally designed in the 90s and was featured in, as well as co-advertised with the film, "Congo." However, despite the movie's accurate demonstration of how easy it is to set up, the movie fails to show the difficulty of collapsing the tent back down as well as the fact that the tent, in its folded state, is rather bulky. The movie makes the audience believe that the characters in the film had the tents tucked away inside their backpacks and taking up very little space. However as noted, they are not that easy to put away, until maybe you get the hang of it after about 100 tries, and it definitely won't fit in a backpack. I had bought the single person one (as featured in the film) and since it didn't fit in my backpack, I just left it in the trunk of my car for, "just in case."

Well all you really need is a bucket with a trash bag in it . As for the tent part...:P Put a huge garden trash bag over you....basically that's all they are doing except a bit more refined. LOL That way once done, you bag up your mess. If you are in the wilderness, take a shovel and dig a hole and bury your mess. Use bushes to hide behind. Or, if no garden trash bag, use a tarp or blanket to hide under if afraid someone will see you. Tarp is better as you can fold one up and use it as a make shift shelter if needed.

This is the dumbest stove design I've ever seen. Three legs will be very unstable, and there's no advantage, to make it worth the risk. Four legs is standard for a reason. Usually, these kinds of videos are filled with products that are so dumb, you've never heard of them. I think this stove is an example.

I bought a single-person pop-out tent back in the late 1990s. I used to keep it in the back of my car just to have for any number of reasons as an early 20's yr.-old Californian who was always on the go. It served conveniently as anything from a "hot box" to an instantly needed motel room.

@@heythave And biolight most likely produces way more electricity than the flame cube! It's way way smaller than the biolight so I highly doubt it does even half as good!!! And I've used Biolight in the winter during a power outage to make coffee and hot food for my family! DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Yes, any system like that will be smokey starting it up but it quickly activated and did it's intended job!!! And their coffee press is awesome!!!! No filters or straining just press down and pour!!!!

I don't camp any longer. Now I rent a nice hotel close to where I want to be. I can go out during the day and do my activities, go to events, etc. and then go back to a nice hotel, shower, eat, and relax. It's the only way to go in my opinion. No more hauling a bunch of stuff and spending a ton of money camping stuff and feeling icky most of the time if there are no decent showering facilities. I like the outdoors, but now I like it during the day and my hotel at night.

My camp stove is made of two soda cans…cost free.. 15 min labor. One bottle of Heat dry gas for fuel. On tablespoon of fuel will cook a can of soup. Search penny stove on yt.

The assembly required cabin is ingenious for glamping and emergency temporAry housing. We have had horrible hurricanes and these would have helped. Also looks like it would help in winter riddled urban ares for the cities unsheltered, with some of those mini stoves

But as with anything when you use the word to describe the people as opposed to their condition it can quickly become pejorative and used as an offhanded insult instead of an identifier of people who need help. Like changing slave for enslaved. There are things we said as kids which would not and should never fly again. Also there are things kids say and do nowadays which are wildly improper and they should never have allowed to start much less continue. Now that we've gone off the deep end, the fact remains, I think most people should do more for those in need. You cant wait on the money to trickle down from the government. Okay so the time stamp 3:46 Quicklite cabin! Here's my idea for it hopefully they'll use it they have maybe a few windows, here's my take on it just have the inside as lightweight screens even the roof that on the walls and ceiling with tiny camera's outside of the cabin so after you put it together and bam you have a beautiful inside that has this natural nature all around you even the ceiling so you can look at any wall or the ceiling and view outside while your sitting there eating your breakfast or at night you can see all around you even 4k or 8k night vision for the cameras on the outside of the quicklite cabin. There's my two cents and some change hopefully they integrate that into the next version of it.

The point of camping is to be away from the comfort of your home and enjoy a simpler life, not to bring a second, smaller home with you to a random wild location. That being said the ready to build cabin seems like it'd be suitable for disaster relief housing more than it'd be for true camping. Easy to set up with minimal personnel, spacious, and sturdy.

Instead of using plastic bags under the seat, a little hole could be dug and the seat to do your business in. Then when you finish you could then cover completely with the soil from the hole. That way your waste wild be broken down by the microbes in the soil. Happy earth 🌎 💓
