The guy with the demo saw wasted too much time I would start my cut from the bottom and be up and around that pipe in no timeAnd cutting pipe for 30 years

And you’d be tired and exhausted by the end of your cut- burning back, shoulders, forearms, etc. I’d rather work smarter than harder.

I’ll use the chainsaw every time. Adjusting the blade guard of a cut off saw to gain bottom access of any pipe should scare the hell out of anyone with any common sense!
