ICSSAR Team Training Monday, December 11, 2023

ICSSAR Volunteers meet twice a month to conduct business and training. This past Monday’s training was led by our Iron County Sheriff’s Deputy Liaison, Mike Hilleger. The volunteers organized into teams associated with their assigned squads. The teams were tasked with packaging a “patient” in one area of our building and transporting them to another area of the building. Although much fun was had among the volunteers, there was also a reflection of comradery, teamwork and support. Members of other squads jumped in to help the other teams through coaching and support. Squad 3 was the winner by a few seconds. Ongoing training is critical to keep our skills sharp, especially with equipment we may not use all the time.
