Final Fantasy X Remaster - Boss: Dark Bahamut

At last, we face Dark Bahamut in HD!! Didn't we use to hear "Yahoo!" once Rikku throws the ball from Blitz Ace?
They say it is one of the most difficult Dark Aeons to defeat if not prepared. Like before, have your own strategy with or without 99,999 HP and use Rikku, Wakka, Tidus. Dispel is needed when Dark Bahamut counters with Impulse. Its Overdrive, the famous Mega Flare, is NOT that deadly, only deals 40,000 damage. Diamond Dust 80,000 versus Mega Flare 40,000!
Boss: Dark Bahamut (Overkill)
HP: 4,000,000 (99,999)
AP: 30,000 (40,000)
Drop: Dark Matter (x2) or Master Sphere (x2)
Weapon Drop: Break Damage Limit, One MP Cost, Double AP, Double Overdrive
Armor Drop: Break HP Limit, Ribbon, Auto-Protect.

Are your characters stats the same all around? Can I get Max Stats for Attack, defense, magic, magic defense and luck as well as 99,999 hp on standard grid? Should I leave Agility at 170?

He is using expert grid its less nodes than standard grid, if you use standard grid, you can max, strenght, defense, magic, magic defense, agility, luck to 255, if you want 99999 hp, dont put any nodes with accuracy and about 170 evasion or fill up about 41 nodes with evasion, If you max your stats, it should be like this the amount of stats sphere you put on your grid, 63 to strength, defense, magic, m. defense, agility, 60 to luck, 41 to evasion, zero to accuracy, 25 to MP, and all the remaining nodes goes to HP or around 333 nodes

Actually you are best to have max strength, defense, magic defense, luck and accuracy. Do not have magic because if you notice no one uses it you just use items ( Rikku's mixes ) and you can evasion at 207 and agility at 207. After all that you can have 99999hp

​@@CreedstarsrrI remember there was a super potion mix from Riku too that gives you 5x Cheer and Focus. It's useful for 99k characters that rely on regen to heal and better damage with Wakka's reels or Tidus multi hit attacks.

Do you need to have full stats to win against these bosses? I've been grinding forever and still dont have complete grids, or the spheres I need to make them +4, so boring leveling..

Assuming you're doing the Dark Aeons in order, you'll have to have max Luck by Ixion or your attacks will all miss. You start to notice your characters whiff attacks in Dark Shiva, but it's still doable. It's not necessary to farm all the gil for Clear Spheres to hit max HP, since most of the overdrive attacks can be absorbed by Summon, but you'll have to customize equipment with Auto-Phoenix (req'd if you're not breaking HP cap). I can tell you from experience all the bonus battles are doable with Auto-Phoenix, but I had to pay for Zanmato against Penance since I didn't feel like dealing with it.Dark Yoji is by far the hardest since you have to defeat multiple times, but great for farming equipment. Dark Magus with Kimahri as solo DPS (Nova) was...interesting to say the least.

Shaquan Tucker you don’t need magic at all for the post game. Since celestial weapons only pierce normal defense ( rip lulu officially the worst post game member due to this) magic is only useful for the one arena boss immune to physical attacks and even then using pain on it still does good damage so not worth investing in. I think 80 luck is how much you need to reliably hit after boosting accuracy five times with aim. At a certain point extra agility don’t make you go faster just start sooner up in the timeline. You don’t need 255 of those. Break hp limit isn’t required to beat everything in post game so honestly you are better off not going for that since it takes way too long and instead having armors designed for various fights. However the rest you should have 255 of

He wasn't going out of his way to use it, it's just one of the many bonuses that came from Rikku's overdrive here. It can also heal more than 100, it alternates a bit. Not that I think it's particularly useful at this point in the game, but still.

Keep grinding: 1. Change +1/2/3 nodes into +4 using spheres. 2. Fill empty nodes with spheres. 3. Celestial Weapons.

Jesus, 99999 HP? I only had about 25000-30000 for each character and that took me ages to do, grinding against Shinryu for those Break HP Limit items he dropped (since you needed 60 of them and you only get 2 per fight)

Yeah, the easiest way is not farm the items from Shinryu, fight Dark Yojimbo 4 times until he drops the Armor with Break HP, save the game, reset, repeat.

@@lhommemystere3938 They are good, if you are playing the game as it is, but if you start tackling the end game grinding and grid maxing, these aeons are reduced to pretty much of a meatshield absorbing big attacks coming from the original creation monsters, dark aeons and Penance.

You can just cast Auto-Life manually if you've learned it through Yuna's grid, or you can use Rikku's overdrive to mix Hyper Mighty G to give it to all of your party members.

All dark aeons are beatable with tidus Excalibur weapon so you dont want to do the chocobo racing than your want to make that the damage is about the same although make sure you have others have them, as for agi 170 gets treated like 255 so no more turns pass 170 as for luck 230 luck plus 60 evasion all you need to hit every dark aeon and farming luck is long but maybe not as long others have put good strategy to do it relatively quickly, as for bahamut impulse every 5 turns other than that its easy dispel breaks get used to doing it since you wil ldo it against penace which becomes a real problem if you dont dispel it have your aeons take the mega flare damage other than that he not that difficult and nothing surprising. Use slice and dice against the dark aeons as its only rank 2 cool down blitz ace is rank 4 or 6.

To this day, i don't know why people would choose the expert grid.... for maxing out the stats, the standard grid is way more convenient and even in a normal playthrough the expert grid is inferior UNLESS you want to have more freedom with your characters, but that freedom becomes meaningless once you start to max out the grid with every character anyways...
