No but if I was Minji I would’ve made the same choice as her😂 Knowing that Jinseok might have some feelings for Minji she avoided choosing him that’s why she went for Mingyu. She’d rather be comfortable spending a day in paradise with a guy she’s not interested in romantically but can still have a conversation with. If she chose Jinseok it might give him false hopes she’s into him when she’s all in for Gwanhee. If Minji chose Jinseok like Gwanhee wanted only Gwanhee would be comfortable in this situation. My theory is that Gwan hee knew the paradise date with HS would make him falter (for the 65th time😂) and he didn't want to seem like the only bad guy in that situation. I have the feeling that the reason why Minji choose Minkyu to go to paradise (not Jinseok) is because she all set to go all in for Gwanhee. It seems that she doesn’t want to give false hope to Jinseok and prefer to avoid him and comfortably enjoy the Paradise with someone she doesn’t have feeling with like Minkyu. Not sure if Gwanhee understand her perspective. On the other way, I have the feeling that Gwanhee kinda want Hyeseon because she is someone who is different and out of his league so, it kinda attract him to her. But at the same time, considering the personality and ideal type, Gwanhee attracted to Minji because they speak the same language not only “verbally”, “physically” and the way they think. Also, seeing Gwanhee’s way of thinking, it seems that he is still indecisive and easily sway, and prefer someone who makes the first move and showing affection the way he likes (example he reacts to Minji’s approach, not Haejong). [in way, he regards himself as a trophy. Girls need to fight in order to win him 😂] I think if Minji choose Jinseok to go to paradise, it might backfire her too, as Gwanhee will confuse that Minji inclines to Jinseok not him, so he will chosee Hyeseon again. In my opinion, I prefer Gwanhee with Minji as their personalities match. I don’t think he deserves Hyeseon as Hyeseon is far from his league. Hyeseon is better with someone else. But I actually think Gwan hee was telling her, in his own way, to go with Jinseok because he knew he'd falter. Dude knew he was going out clubbing and wanted to not seem like the bad guy entirely, by letting Minji have another option too. Something that's weird is that Gwan hee seems to hate it when girls go all in for him, even though he (supposedly) likes when they make the first move. I feel like we’re getting a little pro-Hye-seon bias from folks, here. Nothing in the context of this moment speaks to Gwan-hee trying to be fair to Hye-seon. This is about his reaction to Min-ji’s “defiance,” not deference to his technically being on a date with someone else. Prefer one girl over the other all you want, that’s totally fine...but where in the hours of footage we’ve seen has his shift in focus from one girl to another ever been based on what the proper etiquette of a situation is? I feel for Minji, although I think what happened on the plane was a bit much and disrespectful. I think we all should want the best for the participants, even if they made mistakes. I think Minji having an anxious attachment style and Gwanhee having an avoidant attachment style wouldnt make them a good match--it would make the dynamic unhealthy and leave little room for growth. I think Hyeseon has a secure attachment and would be good for Gwanhee, as I can see how she almost inspires him to be a better man. I dont love everything Gwanhee did this season, but I think everyone deserves a chance to be better.

It might sound ridiculous to some BUT before the selection for paradise, Minji asked Gwan-hee not to keep wearing his green shirt so that he won’t match Hye-seon with her green dress. As Gwan-hee came out (still wearing the shirt so that means they have a matching couple outfit) after being picked and left with Hye-seon, you were able to see Minji making an upset / trembling face. My guess is that her decision to pick Min-kyu instead of Jin-seok (who Gwan-hee asked her to pick) was an impulsive behavior because she was obviously upset at first. At the helicopter she started to feel bad as to why she wanted Gwan-hee’s attention.
