She cites that there has been as little as 5 justices and as many as 10 in the past and that she feels that 9 is a good number.

C Y also true of Justices Sotomayor and Kagan. Both of these justices have shown themselves to be “liberal” that is to say leftist. Soto Mayor in particular has said race matters. I vehemently disagree. Write should be the last thing to come under consideration unless it’s the human race. Lady Justice wears a blindfold for a reason. Justice Breyer seems to believe in government rather than the rule of law.

I doubt that Ginsberg's final thoughts were about her replacement. I question that her "final wish" was stated on her deathbed, although she might have expressed it at some point during her terminal illness. And nobody is obliged to fulfill her wish. The Constitution clearly states that the current President nominates judges for the Supreme Court.
