You've inspired me to start making my own scale model aircrafts. I've bought myself the Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk1a / Messerschmidt BF-109E-4 Dogfight Doubles kit and I'm starting with it tomorrow! I've been watching your videos non stop for the last couple of weeks and I feel that I've already learnt a lot to get started. Thank you! Wish me luck :)

I’ve built that set, it was crap, the moulding was rough and the cockpit of the Bf 109Es cockpit had no detail, shame on you airfix
@ronasaurus744 жыл бұрын
@@stephenminett111 Dogfight doubles are re- boxings of old tool kits, marketed at beginners. Their new tools are MUCH better, and much more expensive, though not quite up to Eduard or Tamiya in terms of parts fit. My advice- for detail and ease of construction - go with Tamiya. Eduard are great if you don't mind a bit more of a challenge!

Ive recently fallen in love with the Messerschmitt BF/ME - 109. For whatever reason I was never enamored with the German fighters of WWII. The Stukka JU-87 was my only real Axis power bird of prey. But now I'm seeing the beauty in other German warcraft. Both the BF-109 and FW-190 are clearly designs of beauty and brawn. A footnote of history best sums up German airpower from WWII I think when just before the war delegates from Britian and Germany were discussing the prospect of war. Somewhat surprising to the British officer the German was rather dismissive of British war birds and mentioned the new spitfire with a swelling of pride and bravado. "Aaahh yes...the SPITFIRE" said the German......"such a lovely bird. But the Messerschmitt is a weapon of WAR!"

Posting a lot of videos lately! I like this new schedule :P Where do you keep all your finished models? Do you have a shelf or do you donate them to a local museum or something? Also, are you planning on tackling any 1/72 armor or any-scaled naval kits in the future? Also, how on Earth do you cut out the masks for your planes? I always have had trouble cutting them; usually digging into the canopy plastic or ripping the masking tape.
@idaemonplasmo8 жыл бұрын
I already finished is-2 and t-90 in 1/72 scale, so maybe I will cut video from the build. This bf-109 kit from Eduard has precut mask for a canopy.

All cockpit interiors were painted RLM 02 until November 1941. After that date the colour was changed to RLM 66. Wheel wells and landing struts however remained RLM 02 throughout the war.

Hi, thank you for great video. Lately I'm modelling only 1/35 AFVs, but after looking at your videos, decided to try make one Bf 109G for myself. Also I wanted to ask, where did you got the engine parts, but now I can see, that engine was part of an E-4 kit, but unfortunately, seems like there is no engine in Eduard's G6 Profipack. This is a bit unfortunate.Maybe someone know, where a proper engine parts for Bf109 G-6 may be found?Thanks)

After watching from nearly the beginning of your posting of your build video and being that there are more than a few modelers of each type out there, it is still my humble opinion that you are the best at the craft currently out there in video land. I know that can not be said lightly but I stick with my comment. It's A pleasure to watch each and every one, which I do several times. In fact I make it a habit to go back and watch your B-17 build regularly because it is my favorite aircraft of all time and I've not seen anyone do it better, with more detail until we get up to the 1/32 scale version which is an entirely different matter.

The airbrush is useless without a good air compressor with adjustable air pressure.When you want a thin line and not overspray,you spray near the surface with low pressure .A badger 200 with medium nozzle is the best airbrush for plastic modelling.I have 4 airbrushes and the Badger 200 is the simpler and better for our hobby.I can tell you more but the previous written is the conclusion after years in hobby and much money spent on airbrushes.Buy a good air compressor and then the airbrush.Then you have to practice a lot painting an old and/or simple model.The more you practice, the better for you.That is my advice.
