I am passionate about all history, and Black history is American history, but most likely will be reported by black storytellers who won't omit important details. Mainstream historians often ignore important details about other cultures in order to appear superior. There are many examples I can give. It is probably for this reason that Black History Month is so important, to share the true stories of all Americans.

The only problem with American history books is the practice of omission. I give an example. In the Revolutionary War, black slave James Armistead served as a double agent spy. He got critical info about the British and Cornwallis strategy which he passed on to George Washington. After getting this info, Washington rushed down from NY to Yorktown to fight the war's last major battle. America was victorious because of what Armistead contributed. Now read American history books or watch KZbin videos about the war and you will be lucky to see if his name is even mentioned. Even the British acknowledged Armistead's contributions after seeing him standing with General Lafayette and told him. "Aw you rogue, you have been playing me for a trick all this time" Black history teaches it was a black man the first to die in war, Cripus Attucks, and thousands of black slaves also fought because enough whites wouldn't join and Armistead spying abilities gave America the victory. This is only taught in Black history because of shortsighted historians who omit these important details and don't sincerely view us all under the American umbrella.
