Not so sure about your water usage concerns for a data center. A central pivot irrigation system can easily use 1 million gallons of water a day irrigating a 130 acre field. The area needed to mine cobalt is extremely small in comparison to the farm land being shorted on water.

So an influx trend of the market they are in fact profiting from ( consumers looking for them ) Ergo Gubberment put a stop to that trend of capitalization on old regulation . Seeing how the big operations are getting hit hardest . And for good reason . But this idea of food scarcity is a myth . Very few people are losing out here . Mostly those that were poised to profit . Ergo they can still make a living but not pay for that extra cabin and boat . The community gardens can produce a surplus too . Wana see ?!?

They say “oh we have recreation and it’s being preserved!” But guess what, the federal government can put whatever they want on that land and they did just that here in Idaho with that cobalt mine. I live in Salmon. The cobalt mine runs only during war. If you're working, there you won't be drafted. Rehab on the Blackbird mine for Noranda; massive very high grade. No cobalt in south Fedahoe. Our independent farmers are doomed.

We're having a Celebration of Life for my great uncle, not a funeral. He is being cremated. Funeral services are for the deceased that are being buried in a casket. It's about water, and water rights. 30 years ago, most of this particular ground wasn't farmed. Its desert and was used for cattle and sheep grazing. Now, they drilled wells into the aquifer, and have lowered the water table considerably. This has been an ongoing problem for a number of years. Downstream in twin falls has senior water rights, and they have been shorted water. For a number of years, they have been trying to recharge the aquifer in two places, dumping water in places of porous rock. Bingham county farmers are essentially stealing water that doesn't belong to them.

Over a year ago , maybe longer , in Idaho on your property you could register your bodies of water on your property for $25 each , just before the deadline it was $250 each , pond , creek , well , etc . After the deadline , it’s no longer belongs to you , sorta like a grandfather clause

How many acres do you consider as a farm? (as in a family farm). I live in rural Michigan, and it has become common for "farmers" to have many, many acres of land. They are leasing land for wind and solar. I consider them corporate farmers.

Their headline dated Jun 20 wrote "Water curtailment order lifted for east Idaho farmers". Try researching yourself before you bash someone's comments.
