Shane takes great care of his stuff. It was a great quad!

That Honda has been really well taken care of. It’s a nice atv. But love me the Suzuki. I have a 08 king quad 750 axi with 1926 miles on it. and wouldn’t trade it or sell it ever. Your adventures are pretty cool. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for watching Joe! Shane’s Rubicon was really nice and well maintained. I know there’s some things he misses, but overall he really likes his new King Quad. I’m working on this year’s version of our annual fly fishing trip now and it should be done soon and ready to post.

This trail has been on my list for awhile, I'm glad I came across your videos to know what I can expect on the trail. I've camped near the Wild Horse Campground but didn't have the chance to drive over to this trailhead. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!

Thanks for tuning in! They are some pretty cool trails with some good fishing. I’ve got 2400 miles on my 2019 now and it still looks and runs really good.

@@aaronkelley7448 Well Aaron, we made it to Long Lake on Friday, my uncle on his new RZR trail and I had my 2016 RZR 900 trail. Wow, what a trail. Your videos don't do it justice. No trail rash for either sxs. I did pop a bead on the rear of my RZR, got it fixed and headed back down. We were going to do the loop but the trail got worse after we left the camp site. We decided to lick our ego wounds and head back. The Forest Service was there last Thursday and appears they did a lot of trail clearing of downed trees. We had a great time.

Really enjoyed your video series on this trip......my wife and I both enjoy ATV riding along with fly fishing. Do you know if it's possible to fish the first lake on just a day trip in and out on ATVs ? Thanks and keep up the great videos ! Joe

Thanks for the feedback. Yes it can be done, but it takes a little over an hour to get in and another hour to get back out. Just got back Thursday night from our annual Trip. Took almost 2 hours each this time because of all the deadfall trees across the trail. Fishing was tougher that it has been for years.

Nice video liked the fly fishing, also I curious what gun are you carrying , I carry a 357 mag. In Vermont

Thanks! It’s a S&W 629 classic 44 mag 5”. Love it.

Really enjoyed your video and will be sure to check out others. Like you I enjoy going back trails to lakes to fish or just explore and also on narrows trails which is why I`m not sure if a sxs would suit me. Those switchbacks would be hard with a sxs especially the size they are now.
@aaronkelley74482 жыл бұрын
It’s a great trip and we really enjoy it every time. It always surprises me to see a SXS in there and the few I’ve talked to said they banged them around pretty good trying to make it.

Does having all that stuff make it harder to go up hills with the increased weight?
@aaronkelley74488 ай бұрын
They have plenty of power and have no problem getting up the steep grades even with the load. Shane’s older Honda Rubicon would get pretty hot but could still do it.

@@aaronkelley7448 cool, I have an old Honda rancher it still works like a charm they make those things tough

I find using 4 wheel drive in the rocks works really good the push pull thing makes it smoother and controllable

Looks like amazing trip so far ! haha had a Rubicon like that there bulletproof ! hard on the back though ive had a couple of them i still find it hard to get use to IRS over the solid axel when rock climbing and washouts and steep climbs i feel like im going to flip with the IRS but my body thanks me lol

Do have any grizzly bears in that area or just black bear?

As far as I know just black bears but Grizzlies have really been extending their range as their numbers increase.

Have you seen / considered a small gear trailer, like this one? kzbin.info/www/bejne/anWwq3uIaahkp5I
@aaronkelley7448 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I’ve actually got my eye on one made by Advanced Off Road Trailer. I think it’s a better option for my needs. Information on them right now is a little sparse but I think I can find a video link that shows one in action. They’re high quality and very capable of rough terrain. I messaged the manufacturer and he says they will be updating their website soon.

@@aaronkelley7448 That is a nice trailer! I bought a Marlon 1605 tandem axle gear trailer to pull with a street legal 2022 CFMoto Zforce 800 Trail. If a personal situation ends in my favor, I will sell my house and become a full time overlander, with just the SxS & gear trailer 😁
