Beautiful! Amazing! Caulking and prepping this house was your first video that I found searching for house painting tips. Seeing all the steps and the final product is very helpful. Great editing and tracing skills! I admire your dedication to your job and teaching others! It is inspiring! Best wishes!

Love your videos! As I've stated in the past, my mother is a very very big fan. Just wanted to say that these videos are also very informative and well shot. Honestly the editing is fantastic, not over the top and really gives it an authentic feel. Cheers!

Great energy, Great pants. Going to use your episodes to help solo paint my exterior house. Would using the Graco 517 tip that comes with the CleanShot be more suitable than a 515 tip to repaint siding from a dark color to a light color? Just figure more paint would provide better coverage using a high end paint such as Emerald.

Nice job, I have worked for some real hacks it's nice to see a professional doing it right. Painters have gotten a bad reputation because of shysters but when can show a finished product as nice as that it helps to put there mind's at ease.

Pro tip: aluminum foil is a great masking material for items like water outlets. Only need some 1" tape around the substrate meet point for a clean line.

Love your work and advice 🙂.. what do suggest to use for paint for my house that has vinyl siding ? .. I’m in New England I see my options for paint are Benjamin Moore , Sherman Williams and other major store like homedepot and Lowe’s , I have used Benjamin for my interior with great results.

Chris, Wondering if you ever use any additives in the trim paint to prevent brush strokes (i.e. Floetrol or similar)?
@davehaney48754 жыл бұрын
I never use sprayers. Most customers tell me they dont want sprayers used on thier homes. I brush and roll. I never have to waste time making off windows etc..I just lay tarps over concrete...I roll doors and never get stippling because I use Paint extender Flo troll...Its always windy in Kansas..

When the facia and gutter is a different color than the soffit which one do you spray first and how do you best protect the other surface from overspray?
@christopherortiz62804 жыл бұрын
Eco Countertops Idaho remove and spray gutters separately, spray soffit, then brush fascia usually
@ecocountertopsidaho38094 жыл бұрын
Christopher Ortiz Thanks for the input. The facia and gutters will be the same color. But different than the soffit. So I was thinking maybe spray the gutters and facia together and then spray the soffit, but I wasn’t sure how to protect the facia from overspray when spraying the soffit.
@ridenorthwest16874 жыл бұрын
@@ecocountertopsidaho3809 If you really want to spray the gutter and fascia first youll want to back mask the gutter and fascia with paper to protect them.

How’d you like that glidden paint? I’ve used it once and I think its pretty bad
@christopherortiz62804 жыл бұрын
Oats Buckey yeah I know, I usually use resilience from sherwin williams unless told otherwise by my clients. But if they were to ever request glidden I wouldn’t go for it.
@xianthegaian40604 жыл бұрын
One time I was taking a couple gallons of glidden from Walmart to the job site on the back of my truck and the bottom of the cans popped because the sun's heat disconnected the tin metal from the plastic on the bottom , spilled paint all over the road 😂
@christopherortiz62804 жыл бұрын
Oats Buckey I’ve used it before man expensive stuff! Only use on super high bids

@@Idahopainter not bad for 5 days lol, is that materials included or do you charge separately for materials? Know that’s a little pushy to ask , I’m 23 thinking about going on my own by next year been painting since I was 18 and absolutely love it been watching your videos since I started out and have learned a great deal from them, I’m just trying to wrap my head around pricing jobs and getting the clients built up lol I know it takes time
