This is such a creative and excellent technique, really helps a beginner like me feel capable of making things. And to have the end result be so clean and precise is amazing 👌 Thank you for this lesson, Shinobu-san!

I like those clips to keep the bat on the wheel. Could you tell me where to get them? Thank you!

Thank you very much for all your instructions, and your inspiring work. I am wondering what type of clay you use. It looks likes it fires black? But it doesn't seems to be managnese. Can you share something about that? Lots of thanks!
But the big question is how to take that flat bottomed slab plate off the bat, without damaging the flat bottom?? One of the benefits of throwing a plate is trimming the foot after to eliminate all the wire marks caused by extracting a vessel from a bat.

The slab plate is just on it, so it's not stuck. However, only the edge is treated with water, so it sticks a little. Cutting at the end solves your problem.

You are great at what you do and the video is very nice but the way you roll and knead the clay on the table looks very uneven and makes my head hurt.
