As a minecraft player i can say that these portals are actually end portals rotated to stand upright. Nether portlas are purple spirals

Well this was a good bad idea! Or is that bad good idea? Hard to say. In any case, I love that you referenced Myst and Riven! To this day, some of my best memories in gaming came of play through those(and Exile, as well). Such mind blowing games for their time.

The idea was clearly trash and had to be gotten rid of immediately. I picked up the Myst collection in the sale i started Myst (the newer version, where you can walk about) to get a feel for it and yeah they look really cool, daunting, but cool :D As always, thanks for watching!

Oh nice! Definitely keep going with Myst series! Riven and Exile are WAY more involved than Myst, but all of them are very much worth the effort, IMO. It might be a bit difficult for you to get used to the still-frame/step-through worlds of the latter two games though, after being used to all modern first person ones, as well as "Real Myst" or whatever they are calling the walkable one these days.
