Thanks Sivia, On my tango journey I have been overwhelmed with the emphasis on new moves. The attention to details of walking was very helpful. Paul

Hi Paul, thank you very much for your comment! In my experience it is rather normal to put lots of attention to new moves at the beginning of the tango journey. It is only after a while that you seek more quality than quantity. And it is when you realise that you want and need to dig deeper into the technique 😉 I am very glad my video was helpful to your journey! 🙏🏻🤗

Wonderfully clear and useful. Other videos cover the same topic but only in yours is it broken down in a way that is easy to follow. In others I slow the speed and still am not able to see what they are doing since they talk but do not effectively demo. In your video there is no need to reduce the speed - you show and explain and then show what NOT to do - even better. Thanks!

I like the ideas and exercises except for one thing. The scratching of the floor is disturbing the continuous smooth walking. I prefer the idea that the projection is performed with a pendulum-like movement.
@silviamezzasoma4 жыл бұрын
Hi Shlomo, thank you for sharing your view :-). For my body, it depends very much on how long the step it is and if you want to step on the heel or on the toes. For instance, for short steps (e.g. D'Arienzo type music) a pendulum-like movement is great. However, if the step is very long and/or dragged (e.g. Pugliese music), the free leg on the floor allows for a longer step (without loosing balance) and to give the sense of falling/dragging. Also if you want to step forward on the toes rather than the heel (e.g. to show a nice elegant line for a Di Sarli), then the toes on the floor are necessary not to loose balance :-)
