I respectfully disagree. It depends on the style of music - jazz, rock, alternative, ballad, EDM, etc. There’s no one fixed range of volume for playing the drums. Just my 2 cents. 🙂
@acegoddd3 жыл бұрын
yes, it depends on the style of music. but as the title says, "ideal" ( :
@jocefianrama3 жыл бұрын
@@acegoddd yup. I deal for church setting, which is also a very flexible idea. one may play gospel or some black church songs which require a lot of power for chops while one may play Don Moen songs and will sound like a balladeer's drummer. The important thing is that one should serve the music and not himself, but before everything else, serve the Lord.

it says "ideal", this video is more on for the beginners, so this is very good for beginners to learn how to use frequency and dynamics
@jacqueline-christianolofer52373 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree with you all. I just don’t want any beginner to watch this video and get the impression that this is how we should play anything and /or everything. 😊 Now that I’ve opened this can of worms, hopefully a beginner will take something beneficial from this discussion. 👍🏼

@@jacqueline-christianolofer5237 I disagree with you that this is not Beginner friendly in a respectful way also. This is actually a good starting point sound for beginners. Because on your comment you brought up a wide range of genres which is obviously has different drumming volume levels. But for a beginner, this is actually a good start since a beginner will eventually adjust based on his/her genre of choice throughout his/her drumming learning curve. This is actually a good start up discipline of being a dynamic drummer 👌 And not to mention also that they are actually in the context of "church drumming" 🙂

No offense but for me...It all depends on the "Music Genre" you are playing...classic example is "Black Sabbath Band". Just imagine how much force the drummer is putting on those drums?..but its exemplary to my point of view.

respectfully, sorry this is just too loud drumming. correction the drum set has no melody whatsoever it is a rhythmic instrument. a melody has regular pitches and rhythm. drums has few irregular pitches but mainly rhythm. Wrong music theory. this is why the music nowadays are all noise masakit sa tenga lahat nalang puro ranting. parang galit sa panginoon. kasi pag nagtuturo ng drum set beginners " ideal", tapos isang ideal lang, rock drumming lang.. the dynamics of music is so wide.. dapat nasa context, depende sa style , depende sa lugar .. maliit ba o malaki. hindi lahat nalang rock ang loudness... respecfully pero sorry , this clip is backwards. parang click bait lang..church music education is towards downhill. so dapat pala concert like in big venues palagi sa church ang volume? party or rock sound volume gamitin? saan na ang reverence? so kung ganyan ang volume mo ang drums, ganahan kaya ang mga matatanda? there goes charity in the modern church. there goes Peace, using chaotic sound.
