You LE-GEND!!! Thank you for sharing this! I'm teaching it tomorrow and because of moving house and changing job haven't had much time to prepare for it, but instead of throwing some one else under the bus last minute, I decided to put my trust in the Lord as some one on His errand, and lean more into my faith in him. And this came up! THANK YOU! :)

In an article in the NYT in June 2022, there was an article about the languages of India. Here is one quote I particularly enjoyed: In the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh, there are 16 languages that, combined, have 200 words for snow, including one for “snow falling when the moon is up.” I teach a counseling skills course at BYUI, and share this every term with my students. Language colors how we perceive the world. Until most of us read the above, we would never have thought about a specific word for that specific circumstance. Words do matter. Thanks for the teaching ideas!

LOVE it! Not only will I use some of this for my RS lesson, but I work with a team of teachers and we need this! Love the “washer in the string” visual. That is powerful! I’ve listen to your how to teach podcast and it’s been really helpful. Little nuggets in every episode to help me not get into a rut (because that’s easy to do) and try to keep things fresh and different. Happy teaching! And thanks for all your ideas and happy disposition.
