I. I'm always impressed when I watch BTS. With their solo interviews or the group ones. They make me laugh, cry and make me happy. Not going to lie. I also appreciate all the army I've come across through out these years. They give me strength when I see them talking on videos and such. They have always been strong and united. 💜 I found out about BTS. Five or six years ago. When I had been going through my list of recommendation at the time. And found their debut song. Loved it! I'm not in the army I support the boys in my own way. 😊 But, I'm sure I will be sooner or later. I love their vibe and songs. 👋😊

This man does so much work behind the scenes and the role of the Main Vocalist of the team that he plays , most Armys don't know about all this . He sings literally the entire time in the back , lays down the whole song first by himself ( vocal guides - samples of how the actual song has to be sung ) so that other members learn from them , does all the Adlibs and harmonies. He is a super super hardworking man with lots of responsibility since he was only 15 . Cant imagine the pressure he had to undergo at that young age . Our Main Vocalist indeed !!!!!!

Don’t think people realize that the choruses of almost all of their songs are recorded by jk and jk alone. The other vocalists rarely song on the chorus part… and live performances they sing over his back vocals. The other vocalists are singing their own parts hitting their own notes… but his voice is often the double vocal in songs on an album but also live… multiple people sing over his parts as either a harmony or just added to fill their vocals out bc he has so much strength in his voice no matter it’s mid dance or not…he’s worked his voice to a place where he can do pretty much anything he wants with it.. and he does. Each member of bts is essential and each member has things they do better then anybody else… and it’s what makes them so special. They function as a unit… nobody is trying to outshine the others… this is extremely rare in the music industry… but I think that’s the heart of bts…. Each member could have been a successful solo artist… but luckily these seven superstars found their way to each other .. and the world is so lucky especially in times like these… bts energy necessary!!! Beautiful truthful words indeed. "Smoothness, ease and stability " should be his middle name. He has perfect pitch. He switches between his registers like it´s nothing. BigHit own producers but also producers elsewhere confirmed they do not need to put any autotune or special affects on his voice because it is so pure, strong, clean and unique he doesn´t need it. The song produced by the producer is Just One Day! Jungkook recorded the vocal guide of that song and that producer (Jinbo) said he still listens to Jungkook’s guide version of the song 😊 If I am nit mistaken, that producer is also involved with Pied Piper and Anpanman.

I think all the members are phenomenal and each have their own unique style they bring to the group, but JK is literally the vocal backbone of the group. He has perfect pitch so he is easily able to adapt to each member and harmonize with them or do ab libs with them. JK is incredibly humble and hardworking. Thank you Brandon, for having a special place for JK. He is a phenomenal artist and a really selfless & humble soul. The video was really intended to help the majority understand how much hard work and hours in the studio he delivers as you can tell by the heavy involvement he has in each song. This is not something that we notice all too often. More importantly, that he deserves love, not hate, admiration not jealousy. that's why he's my bias. even with all this work he doesn't think he's better than anyone else and keeps working harder. he is very talented and kind. I haven't watched this video yet, but just want to get this out: Being the main vocalist isn't just a "kpop title" or getting more lines as some people might say. It comes with a lot of responsibilities and takes a lot of skills to sing guides, do vocal layers, background vocals, harmonization adlibs etc. He can harmonize on spot without prior practice. Jungkook is the backbone of their songs vocally, the one who ties together all their voices. It is not just a title, it is his job description - he has a lot of pressure as the main vocalist - he represents their group vocally as it comes with a lot of expecations, you can even hear it from himself and the members of how much they value him as a member and also the main vocalist. He stays the longest in the recording room because of that. He has also helped the vocal line members with their singing and is still doing that - there are things we haven't seen but they are there behind the scenes. Jungkook has improved tremendously since the beginning as well. He's extremely stable, has a beautifully comforting voice, and has his own style and colour which he wants to keep on developing on his own. He's highly intelligent and knows how to use his voice, and he sounds so incredible live. Acapella and without a fancy mic? He sounds amazing. He has also redefined what it means to be a main vocalist, as most main vocalists has often been belters or hitting high notes, according to music critic Kim Younha. Jungkook is someone who has his own style and doesn't want to compromise on that - I highly respect that, truly admirable. Grammy voter and opera singer Lim Hyung Jo said that Jungkook is a special vocalist who makes his own definition of what it means to sing well. Jungkook also has great ears and can easily learn things fast and understands what the vision is, as we could hear from many producers and musicians who have worked with BTS and Jungkook individually. There are many who deny his position as main vocalist. It's not about who you think is good or not or which vocal colour you like, but it's about the work Jungkook does. Not everyone in a group does the same work, that's the reality - even in school does everyone do everything in a group project? Nope. The same goes for them. Btw, I am an army but Jungkook is my bias. I get defensive when people question his position (I think you all know who you are 👀) - so yeah, this is the reason behind my long comment!

A tremendously well written summary of the whole "JK the main vocalist issue" I see being discussed here and there ever so often . Thank you! People often take issue with or even criticize validity of him having that title without an inch of understanding what it truly means and what work needs to go in to be able to fulfill the criteria. Let´s not forget either we are not talking only about current status of the matter when it comes to his skill, abilities and hard work - lets be honest and keep in mind the guy has been doing ALL OF THIS for almost a decade already and he started at age of 15. Taehyung is speaking at 9:07. It's a scene from their Winter Package 2021. Yoongi was already back at that time. So basically every member recorded a voice message for another member to express their gratitude and their Staff put the recordings into their TinyTan plushies as a gift. So when Jeongguk squeezes his TinyTan figure the voice recording of Taehyung plays. ^^
