My first two thoughts of how to approach this. 1. Take a picture of inside of the bag and look at the picture. Not technically looking inside the bag. 2. Unzip the bag and open it up. Then it's no longer in the bag, but rather ON the open bag. Zip back up and its inside the bag again. Still not technically looking inside the bag and didnt take anything out of the bag - just took the bag from around the items.

one could argue that opening the bag begins the act of taking the items out, since they go from "in" to "on". im not that person, but Greg might be. your first idea is amazing, but then again alot of tasks could be trivialized with their phones. my personal first though was "could i ask someone else to remove the items from the bag?" Alex or one of the camera men could have been asked/paid to remove the items for you since the task was specific with that "you" could not remove the items from the bag.

There is still a level of ambiguity to Hugh's attempt. First definition of take is "lay hold of (something) with one's hands; reach for and hold." Now *technically* he only did that to the sleeping bag not the actual items themselves. (This is why Taskmaster is so entertaining haha)

Hugh's definition is also arguable as there are different definitions which the one to base on is Greg's decision. What Hugh should have done, what I would have done, is to open the sleeping bag, and have Alex dump the contents out, but while giving intentionally vague instructions. "Alex, can you hold the sleeping bag upside down as high as you can, with the head hole towards the bottom?" That way, all the items are on the floor, and I haven't broken a single rule.

I think opening the bag further and lifting it, vs just lifting it is kind of the decider. If you took the lid off a box and flipped it over and the things fell out I'd say you took them out. But if you just flipped it over as if you wanted to read the bottom and the lid fell off on its own with all the stuff thats different

I can't believe nobody crawled into the sleeping bag up to their chest and did 5 push-ups. "Work out" - a command "What's inside the sleeping bag" - an address, referring to the reader It'd be a little bit tough to get your legs in there without looking inside, but you could feel your way into it. No idea why they used the wording "work out" when they could've just said "find out" or "determine" or anything else. Feels like it was meant to be exploited.

Sleeping bahs unzip from a bag to a blanket. The blanket is NOT a bag. Unzip the bag entirely, but with your eyes closed (this is so you cannot be accused of looking IN the bag). Once bag is fully unzipped, open flat. Now it is no longer a bag, and therefore cannot be LOOKED INTO. You also haven't removed anything.

my idea is to open it completely with your eyes closed so the items aren't "inside" it there on top of it therefore you can look at them without looking inside the. close your eyes and close it back up
