Many Pastors and Christians talk about "god" without being specific, the same with Jesus! When they say "god" they can mean any little "g" god. Saying the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob they living GOD you just became very specific, just like Jesus, He is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, was sinless, died for us on the cross and three days later rose from the grave, and 40 days later ascended to heaven sitting at the right hand of the father.
