*Yeah but imagine this:* You: is being carried to the chair by the hunter after doing a 1 cipher kite 4 ciph- 3 ciphers- 2 ciphers remaining You tear up at the sight. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. For once in your life time, your random teammates were actually decoding this entire time. By the time you're rescued, there's only one cipher remaining. You kite another 10 seconds before going down. Cipher pops and you run the fuck away, never to be seen again by the hunter. Game ends with a 3 man escape after you get caught after yet another 10 second kite and pinged your teammates to not rescue you. And then you wake up.

I know all the kiting and mind game tricks.. yet when it’s time to use them I just panic and forget everything.. looking behind? Forgot (or just too scared to use it because haha) spawns? Forgot. Everything else? Forgot. For that reason my kiting is not functional and never will be.

that’s the difference between theory and practice. you may know all the theory but you don’t know how to put that theory into use or action until you do so a lot. that’s where continual practice comes in so you can put that theory into use and get used to doing so.

@@vengefulspirit4262 Practising in 1v1 with a friend can help. I would also suggest that you play as hunter. The game becomes less intimidating when you understand how both factions work. By playing hunter, you learn how their hit ranges and skills work which helps you counter them when playing as survivor. By playing as survivor, you learn how the survivors work and can counter them better when you play hunter.

I use to be surv main, I changed to hunter because I was so bad at kiting. Now I'm still a hunter main, but each time I play survivor I find myself kiting for 180 seconds or more

I once got chaired super early in 8v2, like...probably 5s after the match have started, bcz i went into a closet & hoping the hunter won't notice, but he did. So i got baloon-ed & then chaired. The twist is...i'm also the one who escape first in that match, & it's a win as well. Idk how that happened, but it did. 😂😂😂

The way I kites is more like hide and seek. I force the hunter to follow my trail by staying out of sight and appearing every now and then just enough to give the hunter hope that they're close to catching me. The only hunters I can't kite 8/10 times are Gamekeeper, Guard 26 and Geisha. I'd rather get double tunneled by Bloody Queen and a fully fed Wu Chang. I avoid using pallets as much as possible unless I need to put some distance between me and the hunter. I tend to stick to ares with walls and windows and hate kiting out in the open/places where the hunter has line of sight to me at all times. How do y'all just kite in open places?? Makes my finger tips sweaty xD
