Well folks, that's all I can come up with Game 5. If my theory turns out to be true, what a trainwreck the story of game 5 is :') Oh, and remember, NetEase has the final answer for the story. It's all my theory ^^

I really wish Patricia will be the identity switch of this game bc she's the most elligible one and make even more sense than Mike in the hullabaloo story becoming hunter. If they don't it'd be such a shame i just want a witch/magic baddie hunter who uses spells in the game :'( (she's literally called the huntress in one of the letters u showed in the video)

Wu Chang 3rd letter is actually interesting to me because back before his letter, most people would've assume Wu Jiu would somehow alive and survive to join the game and that it turns out hunter could be more than people. Now, here's the most interesting part: Some people speculate that since drug lore was released in TOR, magic doesn't exist in IDV. However, we also knew that drugs were given to induce people with horror BASED on their knowledge of things. Meaning that hunter could be drawn based upon people's perception or memories. Now the thing about Wu Chang is that, he can't be a drug or hallucination because nobody in that game had a memory or knew him, not even Jose had an idea who's the owner of that umbrella, so nobody would be able to recall him. If no one knew him, who would've called him into reality? None, because he's a magic cause. So netease is still proving magic exist in IDV universe

Idk about Vera and Jose but for Patty, the hint lies in how Kevin sees his life after the manor, which is the contrary to reality

Omg thank you for this!! It’s so tough to find info on all the lore in one space, trying to piece everything together from various sources would’ve been too exhausting (for me at least) even though I’m dying to know what happened. It’s so sad yet tragically beautiful that these survivors had been forced to confront their sins and their life journey literally ended in relation to them, either in despair or just barely getting freed. And I love how Netease plans out all the mystery tidbits surrounding the bigger lore. Really hoping that IDV releases a whole series of playable stories/character diaries for these manor game events. Am so looking forward to your updates on the other experiment groups, if you’re doing them :)

RAHHH YOU ACTUALLY DID GAME 5 OMLLLLL I love this sm- so many details about what happened that make the story make sense! Reading the wiki leaves a lot open lol- waiting for netease to make game 5 real rn Oh yeah and about how Patricia got Edgar’s blood- it’s implied Edgar used blood to paint which is how his painting was able to be used as a medium in a sense? The smell Vera commented on from the painting might have been another implication of the smell of blood- Edgar’s own goal of coming to the manor also varied a bit cos it also had something to do with blood/colour/inspiration if that makes sense?

Hi, it's been a while! ^^ And yes, I finally made it! :D About the part where Edgar used his blood to paint-it’s mentioned in his third letter, but I’m unsure if it should be taken literally or symbolically. Painting with blood seems unrealistic (unless Edgar has some unusual condition, which some people believe). Still, using enough blood to paint a whole canvas would require a lot, so how would he even manage that? I think it’s more likely Edgar signed his painting with blood or accidentally injured himself while painting, leaving traces of blood on the canvas. The first option makes more sense, especially since Vera mentioned a strange smell coming from his painting. As for why Edgar came to the manor to seek inspiration, this part is tricky to figure out. If he was looking for inspiration, why choose the manor? Edgar’s inspiration had faded because he realized the people around him only praised his art for selfish reasons, which he despised. Would going to the manor fix that? Did he think he’d find someone there who would genuinely appreciate his art? Based on his deduction quest, where he believes only he can truly understand art, it seems unlikely that was his goal. But if we connect this to his second deduction quest, where he says painting is a way to capture beauty, it starts to make sense. Edgar might have come to the manor hoping to find beauty in life again-to rediscover something inspiring. In the end, that beauty turned out to be his memories of the past.

@ YESS HELLOOOO And yeah- the blood paint part can def be symbolic but to take it literally, it would sort of make sense with his reason to join the manor and his deduction quests :D In the last deduction quest, it says “if you want their colour, why not take it for yourself?” That implies blood because in the other ones it says “red is gentle”, connotations of blood again- sure it isn’t realistic to make a whole painting out of blood but to use it as a medium or sorts isn’t too outta there yk what I mean? For entering the manor- he says inspiration in his intro vid but what sort of inspiration? I always interpreted it as him looking for the colours he wanted to take since “why not take them for yourself?” It kinda makes sense with Me Sarai too cos in another one of his deduction quests it talks about the letter opener I think? That or it’s his acc but I interpreted it as him taking Sarai’s colour for himself- I’m not doing a good job at explaining why I see it as this and that tho ahhh- but yeah the beauty of life is def a part of it tho 🥲👍

@@shinigamik3027 I tried to consider that the inspiration is that "red is gentle" too, which means blood. Though, I'm struggling to connect it with his third letter about the "swan song." Still, that's a good possibility too. I guess we'll get some more clues in his fourth letter :)

I was thinking: José's codename is "boat". Now, it isn't a ship. It is "boat". My theory is that it might be referring to a lifeboat or skiff, probably offering him a way to escape and save himself. That would match with the theory of him peacefully leaving the manor. Still, this game seems quite rare to me. Most of this games end up in tragedy, but this one doesn't. Sure, Patricia and Edgar die, and Kevin is bound to suffering again when he wakes up to reality. But its ending is still pretty relaxed compared to Hullabaloo gang's destiny, or Aesop's group.

Thanks for watching. Well, I do find it odd if the manor owner gave a way for Jose to escape, given Wu Chang's 3rd letter, it is implied that he wants Jose to be "influenced" by Wu Chang. If the theory about Jose being the bandit is true, that would make sense. Orpheus wouldn't want him to leave the manor (or at least, he does not want Jose to leave safely). And Patty's 4th letter mentioned Joseph of somehow being "possessed" by Wuchang spirit too. I'd love to hear more if there's a clue leading to your theory though. All things a possibility in IDV lore so yep ^^
