I didn't know using JD was considered cheating until now. Funny enough, I've encountered hunters that have done that before. Especially when camping. It always forces me go rescue immediately, or run away and let the survivor die.

In light of how the reddit post was posted 7 days ago, it’s understandable that people did not know that it’s not right to abuse Just Desert. I learned my lesson and I hope people explain to John before outright saying he’s cheating. It’s more important to inform rather than call names. Camping is important in Identity V games because it’s 4 against 1 and the map is big. Rather than going out to find survivors it saves more time for the survivors to come to you.

@Gravii Tea I'm hunter main so I know the importance of camping and chair patrolling, but using Just Dessert to camp isn't fair play for me. Maybe players in the NA-EU server don't take this as seriously as those in the Asia server do, but I still think it's best that John doesn't use this too much in rank. His skills and game sense are already excellent - there's no need to resort to just dessert :D

JD can be used at any times, clearly there are no rules specifying that it must ONLY be used when there are bugs in the game while JD did created to prevent that kind of things from happening. You can try it yourself as hunter that JD is in fact avaiable to use at times where no bugs happening. :)

Because in the first place, the developers left the just desert button there. If it's so important and would put the other team at a disadvantage, then why didn't the developers remove it in the first place? I'm pretty sure that they would never use JD to camp like you. Not only survivors hate it, but also hunters do. And you have to know that there are a lot of people love you, which means they are trying to persuade you how toxic JD for camping is, which means they want you not to play by that cheating way anymore. Just desserts is used for when someone is stuck in a corner. If you are playing survivor and u get stuck in a corner, you need to use the 'escape button' in settings, because if you don't do that the hunter can just use just deserts and you'll be downed (incapacitated) immediately.

I honestly think he would have still tied the game at least without JD I don’t agree with this but everyone keeps saying accept your loss like he would have lost without it. Joseph’s speed and hit box would have caught the perfumer so I’m pretty sure he would have chaired her then been able to grab at least one other survivor before they escaped

Just Deserts is basically something that hunters can enable from the in-game settings to get survivors out of places when the survivors are stuck. By using JD, a large area around the hunter will be highlighted(/enclosed?) for a specific amount of time, when the time runs out, all survivors within the highlighted area gets incapacitated. But if the hunter moves while using JD, it will automatically be cancelled and they need to wait 120 seconds before they can use it again. But the way JD is used in this video is against what the Devs intended it for (source:www.reddit.com/r/IdentityV/comments/fqfeke/i_asked_them_specifically_if_using_just_deserts/), so it's not really favored to use JD like this bc it's technically(?) counted as cheating. Sorry if it's confusing, I'm also still fairly new to the game and this is all I know about it;;.

They really need to rework JD, it's idiotic that it's possible to abuse it like this. I don't want to defend John in this situation, but it's seriously the "don't blame the player, blame the game" case.
