Identity V - Short video on why Knight is actually strong and not “niche”

Please read: First of all this thumbnail is a stroke of genius Goal of this is to showcase how to use items as Knight, even when I made a mistake with the first use I have stated how I should have used it and that it probably wasn’t even necessary to use an item at all. I don’t want to hear “this shows that his predictions don’t work” for that first hit and I have a video with the results of 10 hours worth of gameplay that I will be releasing at some point to further prove my point, this is merely a, for lack of better words, glimpse of what is yet to come. Knight is strong, can we stop saying every new survivor release is weak because aside from Faro (who has been buffed recently which makes her quite good) every survivor since clerk has been release as strong or has been made strong due to buffs. Knight is the same I feel, I have tested it enough to prove it and when he’s available in tournament we’ll see it get proved anyway.

knight isn't meant to be easy as you're suppose to see how the hunter is playing and use that to your advantage. His rescue ability isn't meant to use when you are in sight and predictable, it's a surprise move you should utilise it in a sense of using tide first then the range save for 8s of away from the chair as it can be used without tide for second rescue. I agree with ur opinion

I feel like his greatest strength is actually his rescue but the guessing game with hunters already knowledgeable with how his ability works will always leave him inconsistent. If having to be in specific scenarios in order for his ability to work means niche then I still think he’s a niche.

Nice analysis of Knight! But something I noticed: after blocking Opera's skill when running around Last station, a knowledgable hunter would just predict, swing at nothing, canceling the stalemate effect. You might not end up reaching the pallet and go down without the speed boost. So using the knight's skill in that way might not too reliable for transitioning long distances.

@@9yen8 This hunter has been swinging to force out stalemate predict in our other games, I sometimes mix in attack predicting with it as well to counter that. But even then the attack animation will buy a similar amount of time to transition

This character is like aeroplanist or any difficulties character like forward , anti etcs. It depends on how well the player can think and use his skill and not a brain dead spam skill like puppeteer, heck even i meet alot of puppeteer spam skill and kill themself LOL , but if a player master him then his S - A+ character, if ppl who cant master him then they will make him B tier . Like how pro forward doing fancy stuns or anti mastering her staff or aeroplanist with smooth dash and no delay confusion . It all depends on the player with this type of survivor

I still think he’s heavily dependent on the Hunter which can make him either broken or kinda useless… which I think fits the term “niche” so I’m looking forward to your next video.

The only thing I would say is that he should have a speed boost when a survivor is chaired like how batter has a speed boost if another survivor is hit. For me he’s a very solid rescuer especially basement rescues but he has nothing to help him get to chairs faster like how merc can use elbow pads to get to far away chairs faster.

he can just use a prediction to approach chair if its a proxy camp hunter, plus you should be leaving your cipher when the surv gets downed, not when theyre already on chair.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying but in the title it says he’s not niche but the gameplay in the video is his niche, is it not?

@@lusiphy Niche implies he needs specialised circumstances to work, the video aims to show that he can perform his kite quite well, however I can accept that this video may not convey this well enough there is another more in depth video that is currently being made which I hope can prove this better

i played him, his kinda ok, not good but not too bad, his save is good, but his ability kinda too easy to waste as hunter. so if u want his ability to be usedul jist keep using the anti attack prediction so your chase time is longer but if ur supporting someone, it is so bad against hunter with quick skill attack cooldown like galatea. the video is exxagerated, his not strong, you just maybe facing against baby hunter or hunter that really countered by his skills, your video is misleading or maybe your just too easily to be conviced.

@@wooofwooof9745 From my testing he is strong, the better the hunter you face the better value you’ll get from predictions, as I said in the video strong ≠ broken and his rescue alone makes him strong so no I’m not “too easily convinced”
