I'm new to IdV and all i knew about Luca was from fan art until I found this video, and...a lot of fan art seems kinda off??? He actually looks like he's pretty chill instead of being some crazy gremlin. I still don't know everything, but going from this video he's a very passionate, smart guy, with good energy, and quite enthusiastic (especially when talking about inventions and stuff). Even after the accident and losing his memories, if he sobered down some he might still get kinda chipper depending on the topic and if he's around nice people, but not quite bouncing off the walls "i'm gonna eat all your food >:3c nyeheheh" type.. Anyone get what I'm saying?? lol. i might be missing some info but that's just my thoughts

If you look at Luca at 0:42, you can see that he actually seems fine, normal, no injury on the neck like the bandages around it imply, no belts on his legs ( i like to think they were injured pretty badly so he had to wear those, but it could also just be for the work he does in prison. In his Summer skin art, he had deep scars on his ankles, so there's probably something wrong, still ) I think he had it bad at first, but being in prison made it all worse. They probably hurt him badly until his memory truly became irreparable and for him to have bandages all over his body... I think he got tortured until he admitted that he committed a crime, even though he didn't. The mentor's wife probably wanted him dead. She's rich and she took all of Luca's savings ( it said that "all his savings went to the immense compensation for the inventor's wife ) so it's not that impossible for the higher ups to go to such lengths to get him to confess so they could give him a death sentence artworks im referring to: luca's summer skin art idv official art where he was in a jail cell and his head was bleeding badly

A lot of recent comments ask who was right, Luca or Alva. And the joke’s there! In science when plagiarism cases arise, it’s always messy and ugly and never know who is telling a lie. In Luca’s trailer we see what he thinks that happened. He know for sure he was super into the perpetual machine, but from there his memories are kinda of distorted. His memories were gone after the accident and he thinks he did something out of greediness bcs he was sent to jail, so he DID it, right? Alva tho is telling his part as if he was the victim too but it all changes with his files: Luca found out notes of his father in Alva’s ones and wrote him about it. The accident happened when Luca faced Alva and it all escalated until an explosion. Maybe neither were wrong and it all was a big understanding never solved, maybe Alva was plagiarism Luca’s Father’s investigation, maybe Luca killed Alva… but the spice to it is that we will never know the truth (unless they start putting diary fragments to all survivors)

Basically, the prisoner was the apprentice of a inventor who created a machine that’ll help mankind. The prisoner wanted to create a machine to help mankind as well, so he looked over some old blueprints of his teacher. However, the inventor caught him and mistakenly thought that he was going to give his ideas to a rival inventor, this leads to a struggle where the prisoner accidentally killed him by forcing an electric current to his head. He was sent to jail because of it, there he put his inventor skills to use by fixing machines and circuit boards. He was anxious, due to rumors that he may get the death penalty, but he received a note saying that if he participates and win in a game, not only will he be free from jail, but he’ll gain the money needed to complete his invention.
