IDF explains why it attacked World Central Kitchen aid convoy | Israel-Hamas war

An Israeli inquiry into airstrikes on an aid convoy that killed seven volunteers has concluded the deaths were caused by a series of mistakes made by military leaders.
It said commanders believed the vehicles were carrying Hamas fighters.
The report said two officers will be dismissed and senior commanders reprimanded.
Three Britons were among those who died in the attack.

Why did the people in the tender not answer their phones? Did they think tis was a joy ride? Logos can't be seen by night vision. And Hamas fighter was still inside the vehicle. Still the vehicles were not struck until they went into a veered area, left the covered area with three vehicles going in one direction and one in another. Phones were not answered, and looks like "guilty as hell" falls on WCK workers. This isn't a “mistake” if an IDF drone controller “believed” that a gunman got on one of the vehicles in the convoy. No army in the world would fire 3 separate missiles on 3 separate vehicles of a humanitarian aid convoy just on a suspicion that one gunman is travelling with a group of people in 3 different vehicles. Bear in mind that the distance between all 3 vehicles is reported to be around a mile and a half. This means that one suspected imaginary gunman in any of the three vehicles would never have been present in all three of the vehicles at the time all three vehicles were hit. Hence, dropping missiles on all three of the vehicles at the same time could never be a mistake. Coming back to the point that no army in the world would fire 3 separate missiles on 3 separate vehicles on the suspected gunman simply because this is not a normal army behavior. Normally, if an army knows that the convoy belongs to a humanitarian aid organization, and they still suspect that there is a gunman with them, a normal army would send their team on the ground to investigate the convoy. If they want to stay away from the ground, a normal army would try to get in contact with the organization to quickly connect them to the organization's group leader in the convoy and ask them about the situation. It is absolute bonkers that they want the world to believe in that crap. One last point, that someone in the IDF force wanted to kill those humanitarian workers because as the IDF briefing says that someone in the chain of command did not pass the message to the drone operators. And that could only mean that the individual in question wanted the drone operator to kill the humanitarian aid workers in the first place. The drone operator wanted to kill them as well because, again, no normal army would drop three missiles on a fricking humanitarian aid convoy just on a bloody suspicion of carrying one gunman with them. BONKERS!

It is not being reported by BBC or Sky for some reason, but the Israeli ambassador to Poland managed to say that suggestions that the attack was deliberate was antisemitic. Needless to say, this has caused a major row between Poland and Israel (one of the victims was Polish). It's odd that it is nowhere to be seen on BBC or Sky's webpages or media.

I must say, not being able to see the logo is the only part of the story I do find believable. Depending on the image enhancement they are using for night operations, it's easier to see the movement and thermals of a human moving, than it is to see the logo on a vehicle that is static and the same temperature as the vehicle (although not impossible... which is why we have rules of engagement and why we acquire multiple sources of intelligence before a strike, even for an 'immediate action'. There seem to be multiple sources of failure in both here.

It sounds like the IDF knew the convoy was related to aid work, and rather than ask the WCK about their whereabouts or if they had clearance to travel (they did), they deliberately killed everyone b/c someone in the car may have had a gun (which is not an excuse the annihilate a convoy of aid workers). This tragedy is an outrage, and is entirely the IDF’s fault. How many other innocent people have been killed by these kinds of “precision strikes?”
