The mask just hides the part of the object to make an illusion that it's going behind (for example) the wall teleporter under the table or ice cube and book going into Yoyle Needy's stairway through the doors. So yeah it can sometimes look like it got censored I guess.

If JackNJellify leaked (almost) all the fla's for BFDI, BFDIA, and BFB, then I don't think the fla for IDFB getting leaked is a bad thing. It feels like something the creators would leak purposely.

BFDI, BFDIA and BFB flas weren't leaked. They were actually officially released. IDFB flas on the other hand apparently got leaked by a crew member who was making shorts for jacknjellify.
