The sunlight slanting through the pines is a beautiful sight. You are fortunate to have this as your workplace. TFS.

The scientific name of black tupelo is nyssa sylvatica. It is also called black gum or sour gum. In Australia, eucalyptus trees are also known as gum trees. There is also the American sweetgum or Liquidambar styraciflua. It grows in the warm temperate area of eastern North America, Mexico, and South America. Now that you've started talking about these trees I'm wondering which ones you are encountering. I'm thinking that you're encountering black tupelo in varying stages of development. The wood is very tough and hard to split. Sound familiar? I'd be interested in seeing the other trees you have said are also gum trees. I know this channel is dedicated to mulching but if you could show us the other trees you encounter (before mulching 😁) I would appreciate it! Thank you & take care!

For some reason I like watching these videos. Are the skinny trees skinny because they don’t get enough sunlight? Curious

I like watching your videos. I was wondering why choose that kind of mulcher over the disc forestry mulcher? I am thinking of starting my own business in the future and was wondering if buying a forestry disc mulcher is worth it?

What do you charge per hour doing this? Do you have a sample contract by chance I can see, great video.....
@KenEilers16 сағат бұрын
I doubt he charges by the hour unless it is a really small job. But if I was guessing probably at least $200 per hour at a minimum. I hope he answers this as I would like to know also. Good question.

I have been enjoying your videos. Opening up a business doing this and stumps in the spring. What do you charge per hour doing this? Do you have a sample contract by chance I can see, does it cover if you hit something?

There is a hardness scale for wood called the Janka hardness test. Here’s a link: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janka_hardness_test The Tupelo tree is close in hardness to the Live Oak, Southern Chestnut, and the Mesquite tree. And those trees do no top the hardness list! Keep your excellent videos coming Davin.
